seriously, why would gruden want to coach in college? he'd have to work his ass off. he's got a nice, cushy job. if anything, he's waiting for a pro opportunity. Maybe for the same reason a lot of college coaches don't want to coach in the NFL. I don't know if he would do it but I think he would be great in college. Besides the assistant coaches do more work than the HC.

No Wolf, but because FIFA is highly politicized and loves to be "progressive" and "cutting edge." They're just dying to give the bid to new venues and it's totally going to be Russia and freakin' Qatar. It's going to be stupid and absurd, but alas. Yeah, also I think we are one of the least likely delegations to offer the correct perks/bribes just because we don't have the unilateral backing from our society as a whole that other countries do. I don't think the English public would be all that upset if they found out Prince William brought suitcases full of cash to hand out. If Clinton did that, our country would flip. It'd be the biggest corruption scandal since Clinton's previous one. England would only care if Prince William did that and still lost. Considering the amount of money it would inject into the economy, I wouldn't care if we gave the voters $20 million or whatever amount it would take. Hell if we get it the market might go up another 250 points tomorrow.

I'm not feeling too good about the bid at all. This Qatar [expletive] is ridiculous, Australia won't bother me at all though. Before SA England and the US were both heavy favorites and neither will probably win.

I skimmed over this thing and I can't believe Chicago was passed over for Kansas City. Miami and San Diego's stadiums are dumps too. Soldier Field isn't great but at least its fairly new. What was the main reason, I remember hearing something but forget what it was.

I hadn't thought about the time zone thing before. I don't see how that is valid when they've already done Japan/Korea and are considering China very soon as well. Its all about money for Qatar and thats what worries me about them. Too much corruption within the voting process.

I think TCU is close enough to Oregon and Auburn in the BCS rankings that TCU would get the nod if AU were to lose to South Carolina. TCU is substantially ahead of all of the other 1 loss teams.... I disagree...unless Auburn gets really hammered, I think they will make the Championship game Unless you are assuming they only drop to #2 after a loss to SC then I don't see how that would happen. I would expect them to drop at least behind Stanford and probably Wisconsin in both the Harris and USA polls, and at that point it would not matter what the computers were thinking.
