    I wanted to see Upton signed by the Cubs, but he has been absolutely brutal from day one this year, and now I'm kind of glad we didn't get him. "kind of"?

    My biggest surprise was Bryant, solely because I assumed we'd be taking a pitcher. He was selected, played great and I think I'm more excited to have him than Appel or Gray. Disappointment is BJax, just because of how terrible he was. Talk about losing all value. Long shot is Vogelbach because most think he's blocked at 1B and therefore has no real future with the club. I'm holding out a stupid kind of hope that he has a great offseason workout regimen and the FO tries him out in LF. Man, I love his bat, I don't care how much of a butcher he'd be. If Almora hits his ceiling as a CF, it may lessen DV's total lack of range. I have nightmares of trading him, severely losing the trade and then the following year the NL adopts the DH.

    It's very possible that they hired bad coaches and then told them what they should be teaching. Worst FO in the game. Hire bad coaches and then deliberately make them worse. Only the Cobs!

    What's a guy like Dunston got to do to move up into top 20 lists? If you had to rank our top 5 or so OF prospects based on ceiling, how would it look (assuming guys like Bryant stay INF)?

    I think he could be an asset as a cheap 5th OF/pinch runner/late defense sub for a couple of years even without power, but I guess its all in how you define the word "asset".

    Also, he was caught previously and went on MSM with his sob story of "lesson learned, never doing it again, blah blah". MLB is obviously going to make him the example, and rightly so IMO.

    Do you realize how that Puig was at like 2 WAR in the month that led to that campaigning? It wasn't undeserved. The point is that it was a month. Guys don't get voted to the All Star game for a great April, which is essentially what would have happened had Puig been voted in. It would have been dumb.     if they could pull it out, 5 titles spanning 1999 to 2013 while being best or 2nd best player on team for all years would be damn impressive for Duncan. Too bad Miami will find a way to win easily.
