  1. Thats what I don't get from all the Iowa fans....you guys do realize that Heisman's go to players who are playing for teams that are ranked at the end of the year at the very least? He had a great year hell an amazing year, but that's not all that's factored in
  2. He actually did have some hamstring issues last year. James Harden would be a perfect compliment to Derrick Rose and I'm not just saying that because he's the best basketball player to ever play for ASU. He is going to be a legitimate star. His strength/athleticism/body control is awesome. And he has an awesome beard. Can he play D unlike Gordon? I don't think he'll ever be anything great defensively. He's 6'5, really strong, has long arms but has average speed. He'd never be a lock down guy, especially against top shooting guards. So let me rephrase that can he play D better than the Matador Ben Gordon?
  3. I know there are a bunch of draft sites out there but I know one of the guys who runs this site and he knows his draft stuff inside and out. I'd agree at least with the top 4...Green will be a good back though

  5. Why? Last I checked players that get drafted #1 overall alawys go to bad teams, for the most part. He had to know what he was getting himself into. I'm starting to fall into the 'this team isn't very good' camp. That Timberwolves game was atrocious. Tyrus was very good for the most part up until he was letting guys on Minnesota jump all over him late in the game for some big rebounds. Whatever, if we don't make the playoffs, maybe Stern can rig the lottery again so we can get the #1 pick. If we don't get Griffin though, we better trade that pick for something more meaningful as soon as possible. There are only 3 guys I'd be interested in in this draft: Griffin, Greg Monroe and James Harden. Isn't Harden a SF? Do we really need another guy who can't play the 4 or the 5?
  6. in 2010 it would be almost impossible, but who knows he's done a hell of a job of it so far
  7. It's just worked out to strangely for Tallon. Khabi has been better than expected. Huet worse. The entire team better. He was supposed to have traded Khabi by now. I still think that would be palatable to the fans in general, if not to me, if he was traded at the deadline as part of a package for a name scorer. Thing is, rebuilding-type teams who might be willing to trade an established scoring vet have no use for a guy like Khabi at this point in his career and given his salary and contract situation. Yeah I think no one really expected the Khabi resurgence and Huet playing so poorly

Yeah there's when teams get drafted by bad teams I think they know what they're becoming apart of. I think he's stuck with us at least for a few years A few years yes. I'm thinking 3-4 years down the road. I don't want to be sitting here in 2012 watching Rose tear it up for a contender while we shrug our shoulders and hope for another lottery pick. That's all I'm saying. Then Tell Paxson to not be a moron and actually ad some good players to this team either via trade when you still can with Gordon or picks and or FA in 2010 I've been telling him, but he's not listening. His secretary doesn't return my calls. :banghead: I hope he gets canned soon seriously....He's had some many mistakes that he's made in the last two or three years except getting extremely lucky and getting the 1st pick and getting Rose

  10. You can still work on the QB position in the meantime, just don't go spending free agent money on old statues. Matt Cassel did well in New England, not because he was some superstar in hiding, but because the rest of the offense was in place. He had a line, he had weapons. Cassel won't be that good on the Bears unless he has WR's and a Line
  11. 18th in GAA, 22nd in save %. I wouldn't call that good, let alone pretty good. What was that before New Years? He had a bad start, but I thought he was playing well until the Winter Classic. I felt like for a least a small stretch he played really really well, but that might have only been a handful of games
  12. The other thing is, with all these young guys, eventually (and not too long from now) they are going to have to let guys go because they won't be able to resign everybody. I would actually be fine with them trading some of the young talent. They can still keep the core. But you're probably going to see Havlat walk, and big extensions for both Toews and Kane soon. Then there's a question about Sharp and some of the defenseman, and they already have a big contract for Campbell. The new agreement makes it harder to keep young guys around at really cheap rates like in baseball. On the other hand, I didn't even know Billy Guerin was still in the league. I feel like guys that were veterans when I played NHL96 in college should be retired. Who you think Buff again? Probably. But JCF is right. The decision on who to offer in any trade will have as much to do with the salary cap as anything else. They need to clear a few of these mid-level guys. And again, not to beat a dead horse, but they are seriously hamstrung by all the money they have tied up in goaltenders. If Tallon hadn't signed Huet, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. Is he in the same boat with Kane and Toews on needing an extension soon?

  15. I really doubt they group two of the three lefties at the bottom of the lineup. I agree with that. That said, what can you do here? (2009 projected Marcel's wOBA) Soriano (358) Lee (359) Bradley (384) Ramirez (371) Soto (369) Fontenot (355) Theriot (331) Fukudome/Johnson (326/329) That probably would be the best lineup
  16. I wouldn't mind Lee at the 2,5,or 6 spot, but I think Piniella will still keep him in the 3 spot
  17. It could end up that way if Lee is hitting like he did last year. But I think the Cubs will at least go into the season with Lee batting third, and expect him to have a better season. and I could see it Soriano Miles Lee Bradley Ramirez Soto Theriot Fukudome
  18. Went to the T-Wolves game on Saturday and here's a few things I took away from it: - First the Bulls suck - Secondly Tyrus Thomas is a freak of nature and if he could just learn to shoot he'd be great, but the 8 blocks were amazing he was everywhere on the court. - Next Aaron Gray may be one of the least athletic people in the NBA...There was a rebound in the game where Sebastian Telfair out jumped him for a ball and Gray is almost a foot taller than him. - Joakim Noah is actually worse the Gray though so that's why Gray has to play the entire game even though he looks like he'll heel over - Ben Gordon is such a horrible defender and there guards went to town on him - Kevin Love had probably the best game of his career against us - And Finally there was some jump rope group with little kids and it was probably the most talent I saw the whole game
  19. I sucked at it
  20. These are my picks too. If this happens, I'm picking Carolina/Baltimore in the SB. That's what I predicted and kind of hope for the SB...Both D's will be fun to watch
  21. I will gladly give him the salary jump or the 4th year if plays well and plays 150 games
  22. I'm guessing if he plays X number of games, or something along the lines. That would be a little nicer if we didn't have pay as much if he didn't play a certain amount Likewise if he plays the whole season and is a stud I don't mind if there are some bonuses in there
