My only problem with the Chargers is Sproles getting 25 carries a game again, but who know he could be just fine

Yeah, there's a chance it happens this offseason, but I'd be very surprised if they can him after the division title and being competitive with the Eagles in the first round. Had they gotten manhandled, it might be different. I felt though besides the 40yarder by Peterson they kinda did get manhandled well at least in the second half in felt like it Without the 70-yard screen to Westbrook, though, the Eagle offense was doing very little. Without the 70-yarder, Philly's offense amassed less than 300 yards offensively. Take away Peterson's 40-yard run and the Vikings are in the 280 area of offensive yardage. It was just 16-14 Philly into the fourth quarter, as well. True, but didn't the Vikes have like 6 straight possessions with punts and only 68yards in the second half? I mean I feel like the Vikings got most of the yards in first half Philly had drives in the second half of 12, 1, 8, 1, 3 and 6 plays. Minny had drives in the second half of 7, 3, 3, 5, 3, 5 and 6 plays. One of Philly's one-play drives was a fumble (the first) and one was Westbrook's TD. Everything else was a punt, except for the FG on the final drive. Minnesota had all punts until the fumble on the second to last drive that set up Philly's FG. Once again, take away Westbrook's 70-yard screen and they were fairly evenly matched. Yeah I guess it was...just seemed more one sided to me cause besides Peterson Minn looked horrible offensively Minnesota doesn't have a very good offense, though, so anytime they get behind it's going to be tough to come back. The Titans face similar issues, but Kerry Collins is a bit more adept at bringing an offense back than is Tarvaris Jackson. That's not something I'd blame on the coach, though, unless he has significant say in the personnel. Childress coached a good game against the Eagles, I think, and the Vikings were competitive. It's just that Philly's a better team than Minnesota. yeah your right

Should be a decent game...Us coming off a loss at home and playing on the road, plus Penn State is better than last year

Happy they got back on the right track -
What's up with the league this year? Purdue beats BC and BC beats North Carolina handily. Michigan losses random games, but beats Duke and UCLA. U of I beats Purdue and Mizzou then losses to Michigan
-
I think you got a shot if you play a physical game with them, but yeah if it comes down to scoring you donzo
-
i think they're too cheap to fire him with 2 years left on his contract. Remember when the Bengals looked like they could actually be decent a few years ago? man has this team fallen

I dont know what you are talking about with officiating? As for Salary Cap, the Wings have had the best player development system in hockey for 20 years. Most of the money they spent pre-cap was for retaining their own players, who had earned it by being winners. mostly cynosure. the RedWings have a wonderful combo of free agency and player development. when the time ran out for them to spend ~$15-$20M on goalie, they fell back on zetterberg, datsyuk, etc. no organization has done a better job better job of developing cheap euro talent than the red wings. I think it starts with leadership. I think Lidstrom really gets those Euro players to play well in the Wings system. Lidstrom played with the likes of Yzerman, Larionov and Fetisov, 3 other great leaders. Zetterburg and Datsyuk are picking it up now. Guys like Franzen, Samuelsson, Kornwall, Filpula really respond and give a great effort. I also think that is a reason that Hossa wanted to play there. One thing that was said in the broadcast today that I agree with, is that the Wings best players are the hardest workers. That is something that has been a constant over the last 15 years. Is it just me or are the Redwings literally there for every rebound? I think thats a problem for us still and there one of the best in the league at that...They just looked much better than us up and down the ice They're really really good. We're good, but not on that level yet. We can't beat the Red Wings, but I would hope they realize that they can still beat pretty much anyone else and it would be nice if they took this season as far as they can go, and not let the Red Wings stick in their head and ruin other, more winnable, games. If we meet the Wings in the conference finals and get beat, I'll still consider this a very good season. Yeah that was my biggest worry after these last two years. The Hawks should still be one of the top 3 teams in the conference and yeah making the Conference Finals would definitely not be a disappointment regardless if we lose I meant games sorry -

Cubs sign Aaron Miles per Levine
rchap24 replied to JWCUB's topic in MLB Draft, International Signings, Amateur Baseball
If you think Aaron Miles is an "average middle infielder" then I just don't know what to say. Aaron Miles and Neifi Perez are interchangeable. This is nowhere close to being anything but an irrational stupid move that should get Hendry fired. There's no excuse for this deal. I think that's a little over board Yeah, Miles has at least shown he can hit .280-.290. After that though, I wouldn't expect much. Little power, doesn't steal many bases. Average OBP. I don't know what his defensive peripherals look like but I'm sure they're not horrible. He's rather gritty if you ask me, but I don't think he's as bad as Neifi. I think he's a little better than Neifi, but what I meant was the him getting fired for making the deal -
