  1. One of my friends played at Lipscomb, but a Big-Ten team losing to them is just pathetic No doubt. I honestly never gave a thought to IU losing this game -- even as subpar as they are. I always figured Cornell, TCU and Northeastern would be difficult to win. I was pleasantly surprised the former two were relatively easy wins; not terribly surprised IU went only 2-1 in that stretch. But Lipscomb? At home? After leading by 21? Yeah
  2. Even with him out twice in a row is a little rough I know you guys will hate me and call me a conspiracy theorist for saying this... but... the Hawks WILL win the Winter Classic and I urge you to watch the calls for and against the Hawks. I think the Hawks are going to have the "Crosby Edge" in that game in order to further market a team that's been in the gutter for a long time. Wouldnt mind that for once

They'll prlly make the AFC championship you shouldn't be to worried man...On the other hand like I said the Lipscomb loss is pretty bad

  5. Whats the league record? 17 by the 1992-1993 Penguins. Well lets keep our fingers crossed, but man thats a hell of a record for the NHL Hehe... don't count on it... our next 8: @ Detroit vs. Detroit vs. Flames @ Coyotes @ Avalanche @ Predators vs. Predators vs. Sabres IF we get past Detroit both times, I really only see the Flames/Predators (1/2)/Sabres in our way... but we can wish! Your right winning twice at Det will be hard enough, but theres always hope

  8. I'd prefer athletic big men who can double teams and have post moves (Bosh, Stoudemire) because the transition game plays to our future superstar's strengths. Well I think thats what everyone wants...We just have to see if Pax is gonna shell out the money for either one of them....Rose needs a guy like that
  9. Purdue gave me a little bit of a scare today
  10. yeah I'm 4/11 36points though
  11. quick look at the stat line looks like Rose had one of his worst games of the season and Deng is still garbage And badly hurt
  12. everyone else can stop making jokes now, this one is pretty good This signing just makes no sense at all
  13. How brittle is Brown? it is just ridiculous....Unless he comes back for a minimal minimal contract hes not worth it
  14. you either over estimate USC's offense or under estimate PSU's defense. I think USC wins, but the game will be low scoring I could see USC winning something like 28-7. I would expect it to be a bit closer, but a scoreline like that wouldn't surprise me. What would surprise be is a 49-28 game. USC had the #1 scoring defense in the country, but it's not like the Pac 10 offenses were lighting people up. I don't understand why people think PSU will lose by 3 TD's. PSU has a great offense and a great defense, USC is the same. I don't think the game being in Pasadena gives them an extra 10 point edge. I'm thinkin like 38-19
  15. I think he'll still be pretty good for another 2 seasons probably, but yet he is getting older. Also I'm still not convinced Orton's horrible. I would at least want to see him with a decent receiving core and younger line and see if he could be a manageable QB
  16. TJ and Lloyd can and Lloyd isn't a number one receiver I think you throw him in with an actual legit number one he becomes more effective as the possession receiver
  17. Thayer was saying first round OL second or third round reciever I dont think we have to draft OL the 1st round, but one of 1-3 rds needs to be oline. I think we can be more selective then locking in @ 1st rd oline. Not to downplay the need, but the OL the Bears need would only be a RT. The guys w/ 1st round grades are typically LTs or stud guards. However, if the Bears can find a stud in the 20s, they should take him. Chris Williams hasn't exactly shown he can be a LT in the league yet. But I think the Bears should look at DE, FS, OL in that order. If you have 3 evenly graded players, go w/ defense. If you can get an OL that is graded higher, definitely pick him. LOL. You are fine with the group of WR's that are on the team now? I'm not. But, is TJ the only receiver that will be available this offseason? I think the Bears need to get a top tier free agent at that position. We have no idea if Bennett will be any good since the Bears decided to wait too long to get him some reps. I don't mind Lloyd and Hester. Booker can go away now. Rashied Davis will be the next former Bears receiver to wait until he leaves to actually be good. If they can get a good receiver, then the combination of Hester, Lloyd, Bennett and a decent undrafted receiver should be a fairly decent enough corps for next year. With the solid depth at TE and Forte's abilities to catch out of the backfield, I don't think the Bears need a HOF caliber receiver. But someone who can get open and make things happen enough to spread the field should improve the offense enough to allow the draft picks to be spent where it is much more needed. I think we really should push hard for TJ and draft a receiver in the 3rd or 4th round...If the receiver doesn't play a lot the first year not a big deal, but a TJ, Lloyd, Hester, and Bennett/the draft pick this year is a much better receiving core

You are fine with the group of WR's that are on the team now? I don't think were going to get a good WR in the draft so yeah I think a WR in the draft should come in like the 3rd or 4th round....
  19. They led 13-3 tell late 3rd right?
  20. Thayer was saying first round OL second or third round reciever I dont think we have to draft OL the 1st round, but one of 1-3 rds needs to be oline. I'd say DE, OL, FS (simply because that position doesn't come easy in the draft). I think you go for a FS via Free Agency... But yes I totally agree if there is an OL or more importantly a RT in the first 20 picks you go for it
  21. Thayer was saying first round OL second or third round reciever I dont think we have to draft OL the 1st round, but one of 1-3 rds needs to be oline. I think we can be more selective then locking in @ 1st rd oline. Well with us getting a later draft pick now I think its a little harder. When Thayer said that it was like 2 weeks ago and I'm sure people were assuming we were done. What are the first 5 picks going to look like by the way? I feel like there not that obvious this year (the players not whos drafting)
  22. Thayer was saying first round OL second or third round reciever

    NFL Week 17

I'm listening to Simmons podcast right now and he proved a good point...The Giants tried really hard last year because the Pats were 15-0 at the time and they wanted to give them there first loss. I still say they play hard, but no balls out like they did against the Pats last year
