  1. The Williams boys are back. They talked about that a few days ago....Isn't he supposed to make the actual decision tonight? And who cares if they have them on Sunday they would have won anyways. Lets just hope something happens for there last 3 games. So maybe he makes the decision next Monday so there out from then on. That's exactly what I was thinking, this Sunday isn't as important as the next three.

  3. I actually think Ohio State would lose to Utah I seriously doubt that. I bet you it will be a lot closer than you think You have no idea how close I think it would be. Ohio State is much better though. I know there a better team, but I think it would be an excellent game
  4. He has like no arm left...Why do we keep signing him. He'll pitch like 20 innings in the majors before he goes on the DL and then will wait to sign him next offseason for another 1year minor league contract
  5. They had the guy we traded after there was the video of him doing something weird to Ramirez home run starting at SS (AKA Mr. Izturis). I think he'll be a step in the right direction for the cards. However like you I don't think he'll be that spectacular
  6. UCLA not looking that strong so far this season This is a team with 5 freshmen (1 starter), 2 new starters up front (Aboya and Keefe) and a weak frontcourt. They'll have clunkers along the way. I was pretty pleased with only losing by 4 points to a top 10 team on the road. But I think I have far different expectations than the national media. With a bunch of patsies at home (plus DePaul) in December, I hope Malcolm Lee and Drew Gordon can get established in the rotation before conference play. Need more than just Jrue to contribue from the freshmen for this team to go far in March. I didnt mean that they weren't a good team...I'm sure they'll be a very good team still just not top 4 in the nation like at the start of the season Oh definitely not, I could have told you that at the start of the season. :) I guess they were overrated due to the past 3 years, returning Collison and having the top freshman class in the nation. Yeah...Think the same thing applies for Mich ST starting at 6th. You guys are still one of the best 10 teams in the nation I'd say though

  9. VORP: Roberts - 47.8 DeRosa - 36.2 EqA: Roberts - .295 DeRosa - .291 Now these measures are not perfect (for one defensive value isn't measured) but its not clear at all that DeRosa had a better year than Roberts. FWIW, Roberts had a higher VORP than anyone on the Cubs last year. Some other pertinent stats: Roberts -- free agent after 2009 DeRosa -- free agent after 2009 See where I'm headed here? I'd rather have the younger 2nd baseman that we could sign long term....All that aside though I know we'd have no shot at getting both of them. Just wanted to here a proposal from someone Any proposal for both Roberts and Peavy would probably need to start with Geovany Soto. For the difference in DeRosa and Roberts, I think I'd be happy to just hang on to Soto and let Roberts rot in Baltimore. Ha agreed...Just wanted to here your guys opinions

  11. First off there making that prediction before Alabama even plays Florida which is ridiculous, but I Florida will win, but those two match ups would be 10x better than Ohio State playing Texas. I actually think Ohio State would lose to Utah
  12. Skiles would have been a much better coach to develop Rose. Vinny is only coaching one year, but still, it is hard to coach this team when you have absolutely nothing in the front court and you paid a guy $70 million who will never make an All-Star team. Skiles would have had Rose sitting behind Kirk Hinrich. Man, Skiles apparently would have his players running through walls if Hinrich would start for Skiles. I really didn't watch much of the Bulls Bucks game, but Why couldn't we stop Villenuava? He was lighting us up when I was watching.
  13. If that's the case, third time won't be the charm for OhioSt. They're liable to get their ass handed to them again. yeah, it's a terrible matchup for them Texas would give them a beat down
  14. Is this Olson from the Marlin's? who was just traded to the Nationals? No. He's talking about Garrett Olson from Baltimore. Oh....By the way and I'm sure there's not, but would there be any possible way that we could somehow acquire Roberts and Peavy in the three way deal? What do you think We'd have to give up cause I know its likely?

  16. UCLA not looking that strong so far this season
  17. How would you possibly think you'd get away with that?
  18. The people that look forward to football as part of their Thankgiving traditions and hope to see at least one good football game all day. When one of the games is guaranteed to suck every year, it sucks. Well I understand that Lions and Cowboy fans would be against it, but I'm saying in general I'm sure it wouldn't matter to the average football fan. Just have competitive games,
  19. Who really cares if they play on Thanksgiving? who cares if the Cowboys play? Just play random games every year
  20. I said Harden, Zambrano, Dempster, Ramirez, soto, and Marmol. Dempster for same reason and the others are the best par of our team
  21. hahaha
  22. I'm not going to lose sleep over it
  23. Pwetty Please!!!!!!! Get Dunn and Roberts in the three way deal for Peavy and I'd be in heaving
  24. Good news, when you have the opportunity to acquire a pitcher of Peavy's caliber you do everything you can and that includes possibly trading your top prospect(s). For as much as I hate to give up Vitters this is a move that has to get done, especially with how the Cubs are in a win now mode and by the time Vitters would be up, sept. of 2010 at the earliest but most likely and realistically 2011 or 2012 we may not have as strong a team. What a rotation... Peavy Z Dempster Lilly Harden :yahoo: \:D/ :yahoo: \:D/ Odds that no one in that rotation both pitches 25 starts and has an ERA better than 3.6? That would be one of the most dominating rotations of all time
