  1. Bobby Abreu-OF- Yankees Dec. 1 - 2:55 pm et Concerned about what the economy will do to the free agent market, the Yankees are considering not offering arbitration to Bobby Abreu prior to tonight's deadline. It's hard to imagine they wouldn't at least gamble on Abreu, especially given that they've already decided not to offer arbitation to fellow free agents Andy Pettitte, Jason Giambi, Ivan Rodriguez, Sidney Ponson, Carl Pavano and Chad Moeller. The two draft picks they'd get if Abreu leaves would be their only extra selections, and they're probably going to lose their own first-round pick when they sign a starting pitcher. 2. Good god on the crossover...This just sick
  3. I think its going to be like 30 something to 13 or 17 in favor of Florida In my head I think its going to be a Florida blowout, I just figured its going to be RedFlash vs. Everyone so I felt bad and picked Bama. haha hes probably going to be the only prediction that Bama wins

  5. that actually wasn't a penalty though. As bad as it looked that was a bad call It was a penalty. He hit a WR who could not defend himself (which is a dumb rule, but its still a rule). But he should not be fined for it. It was a cheap shot, but yeah he definitely shouldn't be fined
  6. Well Oklahoma looked pretty good and we lost to them in OT. Will see what happens this week against Duke and what happens with Oklahoma and if they're for real. Yeah, hopefully they learn from that game. There were a couple of critical offensive breakdowns late, that cost them the win. yea we definitely played some of the worst offense I've seen in the last minute and a half or so.

No a whole lot of new places Louisville moved to 11th and Oklahoma moved to 6th
  9. I'd say USC? PAC-10 sucks this year USC was 5th of the 8. They played a good non-con schedule (Virginia, Ohio State, ND) to make up for some of the deficiency in the conference. Plus, UCLA hasn't factored into their schedule yet. I'm going to say Alabama. Correct. Alabama checks in at the 73rd toughest schedule in the country as of right now, due to an overall lousy non-con schedule (although Clemson was supposed to be good, so tough to fault them for that), and a comparatively weak SEC West (where Ole Miss was clearly the second-best team, and LSU, Auburn, Arkansas and Miss State were all either 3-5 or 2-6 in conference). Their best win on the year, by far, was their 41-30 win at Georgia, but that was a long time ago, too. Of course, the SEC championship game this week will certainly vault them over Utah. Just thought it was interesting to see it at this point, though. yea, but I don't think that's going to happen like you said with there schedule Georgia was the only big win they had early in the season. Florida has dominated every team they've played since the Ole Miss upset and besides the Auburn game last week Bama hasn't really won the other conference games handly

Plus, UCLA hasn't factored into their schedule yet. Bama is also a good choice...By the way how did ND help out USC non-conference by the way?

  12. that actually wasn't a penalty though. As bad as it looked that was a bad call
  13. We played probably the worst last minute and a half that was awful. Oklahoma deserved the win when we only shot 6 free throws.
  14. It does and it doesn't at least getting a point against teams like the San Jose and Detriot doesn't bother me. Losing to teams like the Bruins or Blues is getting old when we lose in shoot outs with them. By the way is there any word what happen with Khabi when he had to get taken out in the Sharks game? Did he get hit in the nuts or like pull something I couldn't tell? Don't think he got hit in the nuts, looked like he fell and probably pulled something (similar to the Luongo injury). Also... am I the only one with a quarrel over afternoon hockey? Oh I just noticed that's great...I don't mind today I'll be out of work in 15min and going to watch the Hawks game and Purdue game and drinks some beers. I'd say that's a solid Friday

  17. I hope Peterson runs for like 250 yards and 3 TD's and the bears win another high scoring affair against them like 46-38.
  18. I don't know what was worse The Lions, The Seahawks pass coverage against the Cowboys, The first half-time show, or the [expletive] Jonas Brothers...My god are they bad
  19. Why is the Preseason NIT championship game on in the afternoon this year? no idea, but don't mind I'm leaving work early today and gonna go somewhere for the game and start boozin
  20. 3:30 tip-off for the Purdue Oklahoma game on ESPN2
  21. Calasan is 6'9, 250. Johnson is 6'10, 215. Calasan is a much more physical player. While neither is a great matchup for Griffin, Calasan's a better rebounder than Johnson. While I'll agree that Johnson is a better defensive player, his approach to shot blocking will just get him in foul trouble against a much stronger player like Griffin. It doesn't really matter anyway. They're both going to get a lot of minutes, unless one of them gets in foul trouble early. Isn't Griffin basically there whole team though? They appear to have a couple other guys who can score. It doesn't appear they are a very good three-point shooting team though. Problem is, when they miss, they have Griffin to get the rebound. Hopefully Hummel will get some gritty rebounds and we can limit Griffin to like 15 boards
  22. Even if you guys don't get in a BCS game you should be proud about the season. That's pretty frickin cool!
  23. Tell me about it! There defense is nothing without them anchoring the middle
  24. I hope Anderson plays well again so somehow Quinn doesn't play again ha
