Dodgers hit lefties much better than righties. And Trach has like an ERA near the low 2's his last 3 starts. Piniella is just being consistant. Playing with matchups and who's hot and who's not.

Why do people get so defensive when others rightfully point out that he is not awful? No one has done this I agree. Still the trade doesn't make a whole lot of sense and Trachsel isn't good. He has been good in august. Where as Kendall was cold and improved, maybe trach is hot and can stay hot? I kinda trust our scouting guys this year. They've hit the nail on the head most of the time.

I think a car could beat a general if it ran him over.

This actually isn't so bad. I don't mind him getting a spot start here and there to keep the main guys fresh for a potential playoff push. Replacing anyone besides Marquis in the rotation is silly though. The way rothschild worded it. It's about giving some guys some rest, but more about matchups. It will be interesting to guess day in and day out "who's gonna start today"? Should be fun. 8-)

Trachsel will get a start here or there as the cubs will go with a matchup dictaded six man rotation for september. According to cubs.com.

This is a game the brewers absolutely have to win. And they know it. That's why Sheets is pitching. But that's exactly why we need to win. To send them down even further in the standings. Our ace vs. their Ace. Zambrano needs to win to prove he is the better Ace on the better team. This is going to be one big game if you think about all of that.

I went to one game this year. The 5 run comeback win against the brewers. Hill gave up 5 and exited early. So I saw him in person, but didn't see him at his best. Oh well, keep it up Richie Rich!

Then don't read back through the threads... Seriously, why are people surprised by the emotion people show on game threads? Cubs fans in general are in emotional flux and if you can't understand why then you aren't a Cubs fan... No need to toss out accusations against someone who has proven his 'Cubs fandom' over the past several years. As it says on the top of the page, there are still standards that apply to game threads. If people can't control what spews out of their keyboards during game threads, they'll have to find someplace else to post. Some people have gone to AIM chats, you can check the social forum for details. Yes I agree. And just because a person can curb their emotion and not insult our players doesn't make them any less of a fan. To say otherwise is childish.

Well hell I'd rather see Blanco out there when Kendall isn't catching instead of Koyie. So it's a small improvement there anyway. .

That's what I'm thinkin. . if they dont fox will be getting a very angry phone call. i was pissed when they went to yankees tigers before i realized that it was a rain delay. Yeah I was confused myself. But then I tuned into gameday to hear Pat. It even says "rain delay" on the top of the fox broadcast which makes me feel comfortable guaranteeing you that they will switch back to the Cubs.
