    Hopefully trading jones, who had a down year power wise. Means Hendry feels he's pretty much got Fukudome now. Because personally unless Pie improves, Jones IS the better offensive CF'er. Now you've got Soriano, Pie, and hopefully, Fukudome.

    I want both of them, mainly for comfort level for the star piece, Fukudome. I'm really interested because one of the top things I think this team needs for '08 is outfield stability. Soriano is in LF, fine. CF and RF was a constant merry-go-round. So now you have have Soriano in LF and Fukudome in RF. And either play pie or trade him for a good CF. I just want a stable (and good) outfield next year.

    Theriot makes a nice little leadoff guy if we move Soriano to 4th or 5th in the order. I echo what was said, as long as there is a big upgrade in CF or SS. Theroit fits in nicely at lead-off on this team. I also believe when CM writes something like this. It is ordered by higher ups to "soften the blow", when we don't land Rodriguez. :D

    Maybe it's different this year, because representing the National league are the FREAKIN rockies and FREAKIN diamondbacks. :lol:

    I don't think it would be as much as a disaster as some of you are making it out to be. For one, Steve Stone criticizes alot of the big contracts Hendry gives out. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know 4 players = $80 of a years salary = bad. But it would be an improvement over Hendry.

    To improve this team we need to stop the carrosel in CF and RF, and get a some good stability (along with good players) in those spots. Floyd was not good this year. Get an actual player. Forget Prior. Dempster is fine, Woody should be back. Go with Murton OR Pie. Then get a very good bat for either CF or RF. This is ofcourse unless you get Arod. Then you probably could play Murton AND Pie. Overall, I think Murton deserves a shot. He does have the ability to possibly hit 15-25 HR and post a decent slugging and good OBP. The most important thing is to get rid of floyd and jones and get some stability in that outfield. Murton deserves the shot.

    Aramis could have a no-trade. Just like Zambrano. We all know Hendry likes to hand those out like halloween candy.

    o hell I've resigned myself to just wanted to keep Milwaukee, Houston, and St Loyuis from winning the division. who cares what Arod does in the postseason, he'll go aloong way to keep those teams from sniffing theplayoffs. That would be fun to me Ahhh, that's true. OK, you guys convinced me. Let's get AROD!!

    Yes, Marmol sucked. And yes, Lou put his best reliever in. But I don't see hte need to put Marmol in in this situation. Saving Z for game 4? Which is one step closer to not happening. True. But the matchups favor us for the next 2 games. BTW I say that tongue in cheek.
