  1. I have a couple mets in my fantasy line-up. So this game will have added meaning for me.
  2. How is it possible an MLB game being played in Japan? :?
  3. Um you took most of them. Couldn't you have saved some for us to list!?!?!?
  4. article. . lame april fools attempt. It's not even an april fools news. It's april fools "speculation". .
  5. No but with the Yankees 5 games behind the Red Sox and with the Red Sox signing Clemens. The Yankees get desperate behind their subpar pitching making a three way trade to bring in Dontrell Willis with the Cubs getting Arod. :-) The article. . . lame april fools effort?
  6. Oh. Heh. So is it still possible to play the game against my opponent even without a "full" line-up? I'm pretty sure you'll say yes, but I've gotta check. So basically it takes a week worth of games then we score at the end of the week? When's the first "scoring" day for us?
  7. Sure. I've been unable to log in for so long, that I find I am without an opening day shortstop (Furcal). HELP!!!
  8. Ah so you're the unfortunate sob that has to face me huh? (thanks for the help commisioner).
  9. Cincy always had the first game until they said the other day the Cubs vs Mets in Japan (I didn't think that was the first time it didn't happen, but maybe it was). Since then, they've decided to put this Sunday night game in, and just leave Cincy's game as the traditional day game rather than move it up to be the first game as usual. I don't understand. What does it mean? I heard on TV the other day that the first year that the Cincy game was not the first game of the year was the year that the Cubs played the Mets in Japan. I didn't think that was true, but apparently it was. Sorry for the confusing line there-hope that cleared it up. Yeah thanks. I still don't understand, the cubs vs. the mets in Japan!? Wow how long ago was that? :)

  11. Ha, topic creator. I was thinking the exact same thing. Root gainst the cards tonite.
  12. Here we go again, the "boo debate". I say, BOOOOOOOOOOOOO to that!
  13. Yes. His throws have been outstanding from what I've seen. He's even eaten the ball a couple times instead of forcing it (after making a great play to keep the ball in the IF). That's good news. Adios Ceasar. Can we give Izzy a fair chance before jumping on the Cedeno bandwagon? I think way too many fans are trigger happy about all things "cub players". We think one guy is terrible. We jump into guy #2's bandwagon. Guy #2 has a terrible year. We complain, we moan. We drink beer. (and by WE I mean all of you. I don't drink beer) 8-)
  14. Was bound to happen with any sort of subject with 36+ hours more to go till game time. Was bound to happen NO MATTER HOW MANY hours were left till game time.
  15. NOTHING. Could EVER, top the Neifi trade.
  16. Uhh.. the new hitting coach for the Cubs? [ed mcmahon] YYYYYYYES! You are CORRECT Sir! [/ed mcmahon] A winner is me? Just something I wanna add.. Ronny Cedeno had 17 walks last year.. in 550ish plate appearances. Now, even though it's spring, he has 11 walks. Still amazing. I have no doubt he'll keep it up. Though some of this credit goes to Lou. Cedeno even credited Lou a lot during a pre-game show today. Even though Perry probably helped a little too.
  17. We have enough high paid high calibur players. Now we just need to compliment them with the best of the best of our young guys (whom which work out). Out of Murton, CPatt, Pie, Cedeno, ect. . I think that boat has sailed... Meant Epatt ofcourse.
  18. We have enough high paid high calibur players. Now we just need to compliment them with the best of the best of our young guys (whom which work out). Out of Murton, CPatt, Pie, Cedeno, ect. . You never have enough high caliber players. You are right. But I said HIGH PAID high calibur players. You can only afford so many of those. Lee, Ramirez, and Soriano makes a nice cornerstone 1-2-3 punch. If we were to spend any kind of money, it should be on a great pitcher before adding yet another big slugger to the team.

  20. Ned Colletti : General Manager :: Dusty Baker : Manager Ah, to ponder what we could have gotten for Maddux had Hendry demanded prospects instead of Izturis. Probably not much seeing as he was not at all an "A+" pitcher, and it was only for the later half of the season.
  21. Fred, all that data is compiled from last year, correct? At some point this year you will switch to just the #'s for this year, right?
  22. Woah! All I want is a solid win, and some good baseball (Piniella's talk has rubbed off on me). .
  23. No Regular had more than 2 AB.
