  1. Exactly. Whoever did this is either stupid or didn't even care. They think Soriano is going to be in the "Middle of the line-up", they think Hill is just some temporary placeholder, they think there is a $300 million payroll.
  2. It's too bad whoever the threw out there to do a little "piece", did not do any research what-so-ever. Soriano in the "middle of the line-up" - NO Rich Hill being replaced - NO $300 million payroll - NO
  3. Yeah. We can say that. NOW. Last year during Spring Training, wasn't everyone talking about his man-boobs and belly button? :? Rusch is one of those guys. Who you love, when he's not playing on your team.
  4. Floyd is batting after Ram, not Jones today. That goes for you too otis.
  5. ARAMABOMB!! damnit you beat me vance.
  6. Too bad ESPN and their baseball broadcasts won't be. I don't know who will be worse Dusty or Joe Morgan? Joe Morgan, no doubt. Dusty is bad ok. But Joe Morgan is in another league of bad. .
  7. When I travel down south, sometimes I can get WGN 720 even when I am still 50 miles north of Marion. Which is pretty cool somtimes, I can listen to chicago sports radio while I am driving. .
  8. Even if you only have $4-$5 million, you could live (very comfortably) off of the interest alone. So basically most baseball players are dumb?
  9. I have a bad memory. I'll admit. But Prior was fire in '03 Pitched most of 04 (don't remember his injury history for '04, collision and. . .?) pitched good in '05 (only shortened by a line-drive to the elbow, in which he came back one month later) was on the DL almost all year (shoulder "looseness"?) So really wasn't until '06 where it was something weird and should raise doubt about his future) in '07 he comes back to camp healthy, pitches throughout spring training. But just has some refining and endurance building to do. . And from all this we get - Mark Prior is made of glass, he's a wuss, he's injury prone, he hasn't dun nothin for 3 years, he hates chicago, and "he's done"?
  10. I think it's the 2nd view too. It's just too many fans have such a grudge against mark prior that they will immediately assume the negative, when it comes to mark prior. And if Bruce says he seemed a little defiant. Well he was probably still a little upset, because he obviously wants to be with the team. Doesn't mean he's devil incarnate or anything. Just human.
  11. I just don't understand. some of those numbers. One part says "average NL wildcard or somethin and then it says ~91. But the highest number there for any NL team is around 89.something. So how is the wildcard 91? Help me to understand please. :)
  12. So it shall be written...so it shall be done. http://www.born-today.com/Today/pix/brynner_y.jpg
  13. That's it, you're outta here. Trade seth to Yankees for Arod!
  14. Thank you. Thank you. I thought I was the only one thinking this. You know it's gonna get done. =D> \:D/
  15. Bravo! I have more sympathy for Prior, I've been having shoulder trouble for a few months. And I don't even have to go out there and try to pitch 90 MPH.
  16. Hasn't this been, DUNN before? 'a'cha 'cha.
  17. Yep. All that's left is the real championship. The world series ring. Let's go get it! RA RA RA.
  18. It all boils down to this. Let Prior pitch in AAA with something to prove. If he stays healthy and improves, he will earn his way back onto the club. I don't care about anything else, concerning prior. . im not talking about prior in aaa. im not a flippin [expletive]. I'm tryin to end the arguement by brining some common sense into it, not pointing to anyone in particular. I'm not a [expletive] either. You just read that the wrong way. .
  19. I'll admit, I'm a little worried about a 5 year deal too. But I'd rather have him for 5 years and get 3 good years out of him, than not have him at all. (Same way I feel about the Soriano contract) Just for the record, I'm not saying that Z will only have 3 good years. I'm just saying these contracts have a way of biting teams in the @$$. Yeah. Might as well go for it, and try to build around Lee, Ram, Sori, and Z while they are all still very good for atleast the next few years. Hoping a few of your pitching and position prospects pan out during that time.
