  1. Only Freidman would be better than Theo IMO
  2. How did Bryant do at 3B this year? Any educated guesses if he will be able to stay there?
  3. SSS I know but what little I have watched this year I have been impressed with him. His numbers over the past couple months are great although power is low for corner OF. How is his defense? Can he play CF at all?
  4. Where would the new Cubs fall?
  5. It should only help him if he is doing it by eating better and working out which is what he said he is doing. I hope he keeps at it
  6. From the Vizcaino link The Cubs have more than 50 Minor League players taking part in a mini-camp at the team's new complex. One player who fans most likely won't recognize is Daniel Vogelbach, who lost 30 pounds this offseason. Vogelbach is the Cubs' 10th-ranked prospect, according to MLB.com. Can't wait to see an updated pic of him
  7. I don't think Kalish will make the team out of ST but lets say he is healthy and looks promising - can we send him to IA without exposing him to waivers?
  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/...0,3499638.story Pitchers: Hendricks, Marcus Hatley, Carlos Pimentel, Armando Rivero, Brian Schlitter, Tommy Hottovy, Eric Jokisch, Jonathan Sanchez and Tsuyoshi Wada. Infielders: Baez, Bryant, Ryan Roberts, Chris Valaika and Jeudy Valdez. Outfielders: Almora, Chris Coghlan, Aaron Cunningham, Ryan Kalish, Mitch Maier, Darnell McDonald and Casper Wells. Catchers: John Baker, Rafael Lopez and Eli Whiteside.
  9. KyleJRM becomes optimistic Vogelbach plays LF better than Carlos Lee (low bar I know) Olt starts out strong and is starting at 3B for the Cubs by May 15th
  10. way to early to write off Olt even if he doesn't make the team out of ST
  11. I don't know how accurate those #'s are but lets say they are for sake of discussion. You don't offer full value 2 years years prior to FA.
  12. I was thinking the same thing derwood - like the move!
  13. I think Young would be interesting on a cheap contract with a team option - can't believe he is only 28 as I would have guessed him at 35
  14. Can you imagine the offers he would get as a FA in 2 years if he kept up at his current pace w/out injury?
  15. I think Soler's should be 2014 sometime along with Baez.
  16. In increasing order of legitimacy as an insider at PSD: ABTY JoeyBY Marlin Bistro pardon my ignorance - what is PSD? tknx
  17. I was hoping for a 3 year deal so we have him signed if he does as well in the NL as I think he will - hopefully we at least have an option
  18. I would trade Barney for him in a heartbeat
  19. Baez - much higher ceiling
  20. Sutcliffe thinks he should be deported http://sports.yahoo.com/sportsminute
  21. Maybe as a ST invite, but we're not exactly talking about a young guy waiting for a breakout season here. I'm actually very surprised that he's only 28. It seemed like he was with the Brewers for ages. you are crazy if you think he is a candidate for a ST invite - only 28 and pitching well in the AL - if Toronto doesn't get him resigned before he gets to FA there will be a bit of a bidding war for him
  22. Carlos Villanueva from Toronto intrigues me
  23. is Deion intruducing him?
