    SSS I know but what little I have watched this year I have been impressed with him. His numbers over the past couple months are great although power is low for corner OF. How is his defense? Can he play CF at all?

One player who fans most likely won't recognize is Daniel Vogelbach, who lost 30 pounds this offseason. Vogelbach is the Cubs' 10th-ranked prospect, according to MLB.com.     I don't think Kalish will make the team out of ST but lets say he is healthy and looks promising - can we send him to IA without exposing him to waivers?

    I don't know how accurate those #'s are but lets say they are for sake of discussion. You don't offer full value 2 years years prior to FA.

    I think Young would be interesting on a cheap contract with a team option - can't believe he is only 28 as I would have guessed him at 35

    Can you imagine the offers he would get as a FA in 2 years if he kept up at his current pace w/out injury?

    I was hoping for a 3 year deal so we have him signed if he does as well in the NL as I think he will - hopefully we at least have an option

    Maybe as a ST invite, but we're not exactly talking about a young guy waiting for a breakout season here. I'm actually very surprised that he's only 28. It seemed like he was with the Brewers for ages. you are crazy if you think he is a candidate for a ST invite - only 28 and pitching well in the AL - if Toronto doesn't get him resigned before he gets to FA there will be a bit of a bidding war for him
