Yeah, I'm hoping it was a "holy hell, why did I swing at THAT?!?"-grimace as opposed to the "oh [expletive], something just pulled/popped/tore"-grimace it looked a little too much like.
So, to summarize, every player on the Cardinals would be bad and/or unlucky if they were on the Cubs. Great, now we never need to go to this stupid well ever again.
Man, the over team offensive numbers for the Cubs are kinda depressing to look at; they're firmly middle of the pack at best with just about everything. Until the dongs truly arrive they're going to have long stretches of middling bats. The team has been desperate to score runs; I think weighed far more heavily on the decision to pull him out as opposed to being worried over his pitch count.
