    As depth I guess Niese would be fine. I would hope they don't intent to give away anything of value for him, though. Your looking at giving up Baez and Almora for Niese unless its a salary dump The Mets would love to toss Niese out the door to make room for all their young studs, no one is paying that kind of price for him. And if someone does it won't be the Cubs. i hope so., hopefully they can trade some mid level prospects for him.. but i dont know mets need a big league bat. So what? Just because they'd prefer an impact bat doesn't mean they're going to turn around and demand top prospects for Niese. They have almost zero leverage along those lines.
