Yeah, meatballs rant about Castro like he's baseball cancer, but other GM's are going to see a 25-year-old player signed to a very team-friendly deal who has had a lot of success already to this point in his career. No, it wouldn't be selling as high as they could have, but plenty of teams are going to look at his struggles as something they think they can fix. And Baez stills holds plenty of appeal; yeah, his risk is huge, but the potential reward is also huge. Yes, players like Almora and Vogelbach are add-ons as opposed to main pieces, but Castro and Baez are players the Cubs should rightly expect a damn good return on despite their recent struggles.
