    Scherzer is a big fat load and Kershaw will probably win a billion more. I guess I can understand Cubs fans voting no because they want Hendricks, but horsefeathers that; I have a soul.

    I'm pretty indifferent to Coghlan because he's a super boring baseball player and human being, but it does irk me how it seems like a pretty large undercurrent of meatball Cubs fans treat him like he's the new Theriot/Barney-type of folk hero to them. That James Tiberius Yorke dork people were railing on in the game thread is a BIG fan.

    Being out on a boat and not drinking is very unusual I have no idea if they were drinking or not; just pointing out that the article makes it sound like they didn't actually go the restaurant and just stopped to pick up their friend.

    If I'm reading the article right, it makes it sound like they only docked at the restaurant because the guy they picked up lived in an apartment above it. I mean, blasting around in a speedboat at night is never a good idea, but just being out on a boat by Miami at night isn't usual at all in and of itself.

    It's a group of 7 people, they'll be fine. If the NLDS goes 5, I will most certainly be bailing on a concert with 1 other person. Did you stop to consider that David is the one that connects all of this people? Maybe he's the hub. Maybe all of their connections are routed through him.

    Yeah, but didn't Peralta just kind of casually do that after the fact and wasn't near the base? Fowler had already slid and was still on the ground and clearly wasn't going anywhere when Peralta just kind of randomly did it for whatever reason. This seems like it's in super-subjective balk territory. It just doesn't seem like it doesn't happen that often like how Kang did it, though maybe I'm just reading too much into it. As opposed to Peralta, Kang was arguably actively trying to horsefeathers up Harper's baserunning.
