  2. Damn indeed Deadspin's video player won't play past the 2 second mark for either video Check your scripts or something; they're working fine.
  3. Rondo looks like he has some weird-ass Benjamin Button horsefeathers going on with his old man baby-face.
  4. Damn: http://deadspin.com/the-marlins-honored-jose-fernandez-before-tonights-game-1787110547
  5. It's a group of 7 people, they'll be fine. If the NLDS goes 5, I will most certainly be bailing on a concert with 1 other person. Did you stop to consider that David is the one that connects all of this people? Maybe he's the hub. Maybe all of their connections are routed through him.
  6. Yeah, but didn't Peralta just kind of casually do that after the fact and wasn't near the base? Fowler had already slid and was still on the ground and clearly wasn't going anywhere when Peralta just kind of randomly did it for whatever reason. This seems like it's in super-subjective balk territory. It just doesn't seem like it doesn't happen that often like how Kang did it, though maybe I'm just reading too much into it. As opposed to Peralta, Kang was arguably actively trying to horsefeathers up Harper's baserunning.
  7. Hm not sure Belicheck is analagous here. Football is THAT devoid of other coaching/team building talent.
  8. Isn't it against the rules to fake a tag like Kang did? I can't keep track of these things. No? Guys fake tag/catch balls to try and deke base runners all the time Someone explain this.
  9. Though the live rap, what with their hipping and their hopping, tends to be butt.
  10. They are, after all, sulley's team.
  11. I think it's more likely the Bears never win another Super Bowl.

  16. Most of the posters there, of what I've seen, seem alright, even when the thread is about the Cubs. Surely there are worse, more WSI-like Cardinals boards out there.
  17. NL better get the DH quick.
  18. The pitcher who tried to hit Kang (which started the brawl) got ejected also. Rodriguez is nuts and way over reacted (shocking) but this one is on Washington. Kang deked Harper into a slide into third and Harper got hurt because he couldn't slide properly and wasn't watching his third base coach telling him the throw was wide. Isn't it against the rules to fake a tag like Kang did? I can't keep track of these things.
  19. I want them to only ever do stuff like this when playing the Cardinals.
  20. I thought it was a ridiculous thing to do for a bench player who sucked for a good 50% of his time as a Cub, regardless of how likable he is, and I'm totally telling myself that it was mostly done just as a huge, hilarious FU to the Cardinals and their fans and the kind of BFiB nonsense they huff up their butts on a regular basis. Basically if this became a regular thing for the Cubs I would be...disappointed.
  21. Look at it this way: we're talking about them doing something unprecedented for this guy. That doesn't seem too likely.
  22. Yeah, if he focused on that part of his game and basically became a hitter instead of a pitcher; as it stands, I don't look at a pitcher hitting great in the Japanese leagues as being likely to translate that to the MLB in terms of him being SO good that a team would be willing to risk putting an amazing starting pitcher into the lineup as a fielder so he could hit. It seems silly to think this guy being a real life Steve Nebraska in the MLB is realistic in any way.
