Yeah, walking Heyward to get to Baez but sticking with Blanton to face Montero is a curious bit of anti-logic. He must have been some combination of consumed with getting to Chapman's spot in the order and terrified of Contreras facing Dayton.
Stupid Cleveland. Pulling for the Blue Jays both because of their pitching and because I don't want Chief Wahoo's dumb face anywhere near a glorious Cubs WS.
Yeah it's even more obvious in the next few frames that I cut out. It's serious eye contact with the camera It looks like it cuts out right before hes about to charmingly wink at all of us.
This is from last year, but Bob Newhart's adorable old man Cubs fandom is making the rounds these days, and I'm just kind of amazed he got Jack White to look pleased about anything: [tweet]

Hmmmm, maybe Tebow IS the Chosen One...
Or maybe not: http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/722e12cd0758897851fa8a7420f7c18f7fb61c52/c=14-0-3088-2311&r=x404&c=534x401/local/-/media/2016/10/11/USATODAY/USATODAY/636118060305427890-USP-MINOR-LEAGUE-BASEBALL-ARIZONA-FALL-LEAGUE-SCO-85920254.JPG
Right, but what I'm saying is I'd rather just cut to the chase and have the guy on the roster already as opposed to just waiting to bring him up for the months Soler will be missing each season. I'm not worried about leaving a spot open for him when they can just have someone you can actually use to play defense and won't be breaking down on the regular. It's easy to find room for him; I just think they might as well look elsewhere since he's such a ridiculously limited player who basically just exists for pinch hitting and DH games.
