  1. This could mean that he pitches the worst game of his life. Probably best to be more specific.
  2. http://i.giphy.com/ENpyZn7m4d9TO.gif
  3. Basically let's stop wondering who the unlikely hitter will be and start wondering who the likely hitter is who will start hitting, because it's basically Baez and Bryant and nobody else.
  4. This is easily the most uneasy I've been going into a game this season; they just looked SO bad last night. Game 2 you can chalk up to a combination of a whole lotta Kershaw getting his horsefeathers together and a little bit of bad luck, but last night just seem to really drive home just how poorly so much of the lineup is doing, even by the small sample size standards of the playoffs. Hill seemed like a jumpy, jittery wreck for the first 3 innings or so last night and his pitching reflected that, and they couldn't do anything with it. It still blows my mind a little that after how bad Hill looked in the 2nd inning the Cubs still got shut out and barely even got anyone on base after that. As much as this bugs us, this has to weigh infinitely more on the players' minds, and I can't help but worry they're just going to keep pressing and not-hit themselves out of a still very winnable series.
  5. LOL, everyone knows that Gpmza:ez spells his name with a colon, not a semi-colon.
  6. We're waiting...
  7. Damn, man, sorry about your dog. That's rough.
  8. Blargh: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-much-trouble-are-the-cubs-in-now/
  9. Maybe that's what happened to Tommy. Lackey ate Tommy? Then La Stella will turn out to have been the real hero (sandwich) of the series.
  10. I appreciate the positive takes and I know things can change from game to game, but getting shut out two games in a row can't help but feel pretty damn soul-crushing. It looks like the whole time is pressing because of it and this is the first game this postseason I'm really, really nervous about. Lackey being out there is NOT helping. I hope his dumb face proves me wrong.
  11. How goes that diet? Chugging along; down 70 pounds since it started. The Cubs basically have to go to the WS; I will be back in Chicago a week from Friday for 3 days if they do, and I will enjoy myself thoroughly during those 3 days before jumping back on the wagon. If they don't go and I don't have that excuse anymore, people may die.
  12. Sauteed chicken, broccoli and mushrooms and water. Wooooooooooo.
  13. Oh were definitely gonna talk more about chili than the Bears this week. Maybe all season. And it will be way more entertaining too. The Bears are the Skyline chili of football.
  14. Chili without beans is the kind of reject hobo dog food that a typical Bears fan slobbers down as their tears salt their meaty gruel.
  15. Chili without beans is basically just beef stew. It's a crime whenever someone tries to serve it to people expecting delicious chili. Chili is delicious with and without beans. The latter is not chili. Go eat your soup.
  16. I agree with everything, chili without beans is for the weak, just like football w/o touchdowns. Chili without beans is basically just beef stew. It's a crime whenever someone tries to serve it to people expecting delicious chili.
  17. Even all the way in the back and out of focus, Soler is still so much more outrageously handsome than everyone else.
