  1. Well, it IS two middle of pack teams when it comes to dongs playing tonight....
  2. This is super Derwood-y. Nah, I thought it was obvious I wasn't promoting the idea. Whatevs Katrina Pierson is shaking her head at this.

  4. Deep. Ban this man, please. Look, I'm as big a critic of sloppy journalism as anyone, but that seems a bit harsh.
  5. Deep.
  6. Stupid Cleveland. Pulling for the Blue Jays both because of their pitching and because I don't want Chief Wahoo's dumb face anywhere near a glorious Cubs WS.

  8. Why on earth would you voluntarily listen to non-game Chicago sports radio ever? Got your back.
  9. If the question is "what's weirder, David or this article," well, the choice is always obvious.
  10. Yeah, I remember a ton of talk swirling at the time like one or two of them was all but signed to Chicago.
  11. Yeah it's even more obvious in the next few frames that I cut out. It's serious eye contact with the camera It looks like it cuts out right before hes about to charmingly wink at all of us.
  12. The knowing glance to the camera at the end is perfect.
  13. This is so horsefeathering weird and great.
  14. This is from last year, but Bob Newhart's adorable old man Cubs fandom is making the rounds these days, and I'm just kind of amazed he got Jack White to look pleased about anything: [tweet] [/tweet]
  15. Hopefully his healing touch upgraded that slob's shorts/flip-flops combo.
  16. Hmmmm, maybe Tebow IS the Chosen One... Or maybe not: http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/722e12cd0758897851fa8a7420f7c18f7fb61c52/c=14-0-3088-2311&r=x404&c=534x401/local/-/media/2016/10/11/USATODAY/USATODAY/636118060305427890-USP-MINOR-LEAGUE-BASEBALL-ARIZONA-FALL-LEAGUE-SCO-85920254.JPG
  17. Hey, I'm diplomatic; at this point I don't think he has much value in either situation.
  18. Right, but what I'm saying is I'd rather just cut to the chase and have the guy on the roster already as opposed to just waiting to bring him up for the months Soler will be missing each season. I'm not worried about leaving a spot open for him when they can just have someone you can actually use to play defense and won't be breaking down on the regular. It's easy to find room for him; I just think they might as well look elsewhere since he's such a ridiculously limited player who basically just exists for pinch hitting and DH games.
  19. You say this like there's this huge gulf between Soler and a player like Szczur in terms of production value/reliability. To me there is when he's a depth/bench piece. I'd rather have the guy taking up the last spot on the bench have upside than a league averagish dude who you can easily find 10 of over the course of the year through your system/trades/FAs. At some point he's going to have to just show he can even be consistently available to play, much less a useful baseball player. Ultimately it's looking more and more like having Soler or some random dude on the bench isn't really that big a difference, or at all.
