Phillies fear Murton's arm, for it has been forged by the mighty lightning of Zeus! -
10 pitches or less this time, Lilly.
-
Hallowed be his name?
-
Murton strikes out swinging, but the breeze from that swing will spread to the Atalantic ocean and will gently push ashore a sinking ship filled with Peace Corp volunteers.
-
Murton actually had the eyes of an eagle surgically implanted.
-
Murton is going to float to the batter's box.
-
OK, only 5 pitches less than Lilly. Lock it down, Ted.
-
Great, what is that, 7 or 8 pitches so far?
-
Dammit, free hat night. I never go when they're giving out anything good...or anything at all.
-
Nice way to keep it in check, Lilly.
-
Well, Cedeno did have a stretch where he was tearing up ML pitching, similar to Fontenot.
-
Agreed, keep Riot as short. Not a problem. He seems to be a tiny man for good.
-
I don't see why not. I wouldn't even say it's an outside chance. It's a pretty decent chance. If he's called up Thurs, there's no reason he couldn't be called in to a game on Friday. Especially since he wouldnt have thrown since Tues, Id say there is a real good chance. Imagine that, Wood relieving Zambrano wow I just might tear up.
-
The Barrett incident certainly was part of the reason for the talk, but your "and nothing else" assertion is definitely wrong. His crappy start to the season definitely had something to do with it. There were people advocating trading Zambrano even before the incident. The talk increased after the incident, but it started before then. I know. I was responding sarcastically to the people gloating as if any ideas to trade Zambrano weren't thought out and were all based on emotion.
-
Are you serious? They didn't do all that well in the latest series against the Cubs, therefore they're no good and not worth trading for? Wow.
-
:-k Sac fl(ies)y and a home run (grand slam?)? He didn't score, so no HR. 2 Sac flies and a 3-run double. Dammit, I missed the obvious. Baseball is a funny game.
-
Poor guy is due. Pardon my ignorance, but if I have tickets to this Friday's game, does this mean there's an outside chance I could see Kerry pitch?
-
Some loudmouth jerk.

Are you taking a dump in the airport with the door unlocked or open? How the hell does he take a peak in, and why would he do that. Does he not see your feet? Adam Dunn goes wherever the hell he wants, when he wants. It's his world, and we just cower in it.
-
Yeah, nobody possibly had any potentially legit and thought reasons to trade Zambrano at the time. It was all kneejerk hyperbole. Boy, you guys sure have everyone covered. All the trade ideas had to do with him fighting Barrett and nothing else.

"Jesus, Tom! I was only speculatin' on a hypothesis!"
-
YES! Thanks, Cards!

I can't believe I'm rooting for Pujols.

I guess if it's true then it helps explain why Murton is here but basically riding the pine...he can just walk over to the other dugout after the game is over. At least that's what I want to tell myself when it looks like he's not getting the start yet again today.
