OK, a bunch of k's and only 1 run so far and I know "the Reds give us trouble," but come on...this is a crappy team and yet again Hill is having to a work a ton of high counts with most of the AB's. Come on, Rich! We can't play scrubs all the time!
:? On the one hand, it's frustrating, but at the same time, if playing Murton is a step towards also playing guys like Pie and Soto again, it could work out. Long shot, I know, but not the end of the world, especially with Pie and Murton.
I slapped up the footage of the press conference if anyone wants to see a complete anti-climax: http://youtube.com/watch?v=u_aY7HZvFpQ&mode=related&search=
It would have to be. Either that or Soriano goes back to CF. Honestly, if it's a trade with the Reds, Griffey makes much more sense if Pie is involved. Losing Pie for Dunn really screws us in CF.
This has the potential to end horribly. Off the top of my head, didn't the Cubs not start scoring in earnest last night until Soriano got the triple? It really seems like if he can't get on base at all in a game the offense decides to nap or really struggles.
