  1. Basically any negotiations between the Cubs and the rooftop owners should go something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYJOAW7r03s
  2. I agree, except for the presence of Harry Caray and Steve Stone Yuuuuuuuuuup. Harry was tolerable until the stroke in '87, and even before that you'd only really hear the good announcer side of him for a few innings most games before he had too many drinks. Stone always sucked. Even as a kid I couldn't stand him; he sounded like the evil adult from every shitty kids movie ever made.
  3. This really is the best story ever.
  4. Wrigleyville is the worst. I honestly would have zero problem with a suburban stadium at this point.
  5. HAAAA AND WE'RE BACK IN.
  6. They're going to need to hit on multiple young pitchers, because right now they don't have anyone they can pencil in for a 3+ win season. Very true. Hudson continues to be a reliable front ender, Maholm a quality 4th, but both are short term. Not sure what to make of Medlan. As for the young pitching, they're by no means sure things, but if they all pan out, Teheran, Minor, and Beachy could end up a powerhouse for years to come. Oh, they just need three guys to "pan out?" Sure, no problem; that's a lock.
  7. The Cubs gave up after almost two years of begging and him telling them no. He just reminded them of that with that quote. So what? He can't say no to what they need to get it done on their own.
  8. Awesome clip, but man, I [expletive] hate that one comment.
  9. Hilariously terrible line for Kirk tonight.
  10. WGN is up after the 2014 season, I believe, and the CSN one is much further away than that...like 2019 or something. Way, way, way too late. It's really annoying to see teams able to capitalize on this now.
  11. How do you figure that? The city has made it clear they don't want to help in the cost, and the Cubs have presented an option to get it done without city money, so how is this Rahm "spiking the ball?" If they deny them the ability to have more ads, more night games and the street fair, how are they "working to get it done" or whatever the [expletive] [expletive] he's spewing without city money?
  12. Then they shouldn't be buying bleacher tickets to begin with. Yeah. How dare someone want to have fun while watching the game. [expletive] those idiots. You can be as meatball-y as you want, I don't give a [expletive]; my point is that someone complaining about not being able to watch all of the game is undercutting their complaint by buying bleacher tickets to begin with. It's a terrible place to actually try and watch the game from regardless of what's blocked.
  13. Then they shouldn't be buying bleacher tickets to begin with.
  14. So what? Like Jersey said, there's always going to be tons of seats that can't see all of the field. Why should the bleachers be exempt from that?
  15. Dude, Philly's getting a Delmon 1.3 [expletive], for that price, I'd have happily gotten a Delmon, warts and all. Why? What in God's name is wrong with you?
  16. Probably should be even higher.
  17. Doesn't sound insane at all.
  18. Shhhhh, let's let him figure it out.
  19. Seems faulty.
