  1. http://www.hark.com/happy-gilmore/she-fell-off-a-cliff-and-died-on-impact We also would have accepted this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8-rGAM_KeA
  2. I think my 30 Rock one was underappreciated: http://img.neoseeker.com/mgv/451439/439/39/screen_shot_20100120_at_71304_pm_display.png There's a good Archer reference, too.
  3. What an idiot.
  4. Basically. If he was somehow inexplicably duped in all of this then he's some kind of weirdo freakmonster.
  5. catfish was dumb and not real. i haven't seen the show. talhotblond (the documentary, not the lifetime movie) was awesome, except that someone really died. HOLY [expletive]: That is nuts.
  6. More just annoyed when people talk about the Crawford contract like it was a given he was going to topple off of a cliff at 29. There's a pretty huge difference between "huge market team with a lot of money overpays for a guy but will likely get 4-5 years of great to good production" and the complete bust that Crawford has turned out to be under his current deal.
  7. It is absolutely possible that he's involved. I'm interested to see what Te'o says in his PC and what the guy behind the twitter account says tomorrow (if that's real). But literally no one has come up with a reasonable justification for committing career suicide and Te'o duping everyone. The guy [expletive] got a message from a family whose daughter was dying of cancer and sent them a long email back about coping with a loved one dying of cancer. I mean, jesus. Why wouldn't he just ignore it if he was making it up? They never expected a response. how much of a sociopath do you have to be to [expletive] with the family of a girl dying of cancer? It just seems much more likely that he was gullible. Why isn't reasonable that he's just a damaged human being? Why isn't it reasonable that someone with his background would go to desperate lengths to hide his sexuality? Why do you think gullibility is so realistic but a student athlete making stupid decisions isn't? b/c making a stupid decision doesn't begin to describe the fraud he would have perpetrated against many, many people. Te'o's personality was described long before this as sincere and naive. Maybe he's a sociopath and duped everyone he's ever met. That seems less likely to me based on the information that's come out. Still seems more likely than the ever increasing gang of people who you are suggesting somehow pulled this off without letting anything slip. Maybe he's so sincere and naive (and dense) he didn't realize the harm that he would cause. He doesn't have to be the monster you keep trying to paint him as to have pulled this off or to have been involved, especially if it was a matter of hiding his sexuality. I'm sure it wouldn't have been difficult to convince himself "hey, who's really gonna get hurt? She doesn't really exist!" Doing stuff like talking to a little girl with cancer could have just been a way of him justifying the lie by doing something good. It's hardly the long shot you so badly want it to be for him to have been involved in this.
  8. true But not consistent with ND trying their damnedest to make it sound like he never lied.

  10. Wait, what? How is THAT logical at all? Especially if Tuiasosopo is involved? If anything a theory like that only really makes sense if Te'o is involved in at least some capacity in making this up, because otherwise you're expanding the group of conspirators more and more.
  11. I wonder what other storylines they were tempted to make up besides the car crash. "Sorry, T'eo; we can't be together because I'm going to the International Space Station!"
  12. "VANDELAY!!! SAY 'VANDELAY FUNERAL HOME'!!!!!!"
  13. So it's simpler to: A. assume that an NFL prospect kills off a fake gf (rather than admitting to his family that he lied and then telling his teammates they broke up) and risks ruining his career rather than B. Te'o is one of a bunch of people that have fallen victim to these scams. It's possible that A is right. I don't think that's more likely nor simpler. Again, what about the stuff like his story about how they met? Do you think he decided to make that up on his own or did the Catfishes tell him to use that story?
  14. Crying Benoit needs to make some appearances.
  15. Except, it was a year, maybe 18 months. these catfishing hoaxes aren't 2 week affairs. the people behind them are cruel and probably a little insane. people literally do this to tons of people every day. So did they tell him to make up all the [expletive] about their relationship or did he come up with it on his own? Catfishes is crafty.
  16. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x455/kellyboners/GIFs/desario.gif
  17. Actually, it's much, much, much less of a huge hoax if he's behind it as opposed to him getting supermegaultrapunk'd.
  18. So, what, they just completely sidestepped that he had to have lied to his family about this? [expletive], at the very least he lied about how they [expletive] met!
  19. I thought the only phone calls are the ones they supposedly had when she was "dying." Eh, so he's lying about other calls, too. I just hope someone kept the white flowers; I'll bet they were beautiful.
  20. right. which is why we know that, at the very least, te'o was lying about something. i mean, he said he met her FACE TO FACE. unless they found an actress to play the role who also happened to look very much like the girl whose facebook photo they later stole, TE'O LIED ABOUT THIS. are you at least willing to admit that, MR? Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup. You've got ND saying he never lied about anything when you've got multiple parts of this that require him to be lying for the story to make any kind of sense.
  21. WHAT AN ABSURD SUGGESTION. No way, having a three year online-only relationship without any kind of phone calls or video chat or whatever makes complete sense.
  22. And then when he went to her grave he found his jacket on the headstone! And her hook was in the car door handle!
  23. Yeah, everyone is crazy except for the guy with the made up dead girlfriend and you. Yeah. It's not the people that are willfully ignorant and then drawing conclusions like "why didn't he just call her? What an idiot!" Those people aren't crazy. Nope, not crazy at all. Just enjoying the hilarity.
  24. Yeah, everyone is crazy except for the guy with the made up dead girlfriend and you.
