Pudge is a shell of his former self. He posted a 290 OBP last year and only improved slightly this year. I'll take Barrett over Pudge any day of the week offensively, which is where we have problems. Maggs. I guess you could make an argument for him, but he wasn't a very good investment regardless. Having the guts to do something and having that be the right move are far different things. Dombrowski -- in my eyes at least -- has been below average in his tenure as GM of the Tigers. Would I mind him being president? Probably not, but he's not a good GM choice in my opinion.
