  1. Why doesn't Theriot get more media love? He's pretty much exactly like Eckstein and Erstad and those other grinders, except, you know, a good baseball player.
  2. Ryan put the White Sox in the http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/ndistops/Dumpster.jpg
  3. You could say this for all 162 White Sox games. If we're going to have a jokingly bad season, let's at least beat these guys please.
  4. The mere fact that any remotely solid case to the contrary could be made by anyone says a lot about this team. Guzman may never get a major league win the way he's being treated by the other 24 guys. I'm getting the feeling NSBB day will be more a three-hour bitch session than anything.
  5. Hilarious. You don't "tip your cap" when you give up 5 runs in 1/3 of an inning to a remote shell of the Mets' lineup like that, Ryan, you get pissed that you sucked so bad.
  6. Hubie Brown is a terrible, terrible color analyst. At points tonight he credited PJ Brown's traveling violation to great Pistons defense even though the nearest Piston was about 4 feet away and defended that absolute joke Noc call as well as a couple of other terrible calls. He is the Joe Morgan of basketball. Depressing loss. It wasn't our time.
  7. Pagan and Ramirez with 2-run homers in between hits by Theriot and Soriano.
  8. Hahahaha, that's a terrible call by Cooper
  9. BS. That ball came off the bat. You can tell by the sound. Eric Cooper. Of course.
  10. Wood was moved to the 60-day DL and Cherry was sent down.
  11. I didn't realize it at the time, but since the game was at the Wide World of Sports complex at Disney, it counts as the 45th different ballpark that Sammy's gone deep in.
  12. I've had good bosses and terrible bosses. My boss right now is very much the former, thank goodness.
  13. They remind me of White Sox fans. "Yankees suck" chants? If the allusions I heard from Len and Bob are true, there's a lone guy with a Yankees hat on sitting down the 1st base line. In their defense.
  14. Dude. It's Jorge Sosa. JORGE SOSA. Sorry, our right to complain about flukishly good starting pitching has been revoked until Marquis and Lilly have ERA's over pi. It's not that he's flukishly good (although he is) but we should at least be able to scratch SOMETHING off him. There's no reason for the Cubs to get owned by as many pitchers as they do.
  15. Dang it, he was cruising along too.
  16. Allison Stokke is the hotness.
  17. He'll be promoted the day before Vance goes to see him :) A la Justin Upton and me. :( Upton played for the Class A South Bend Silver Hawks last year and I stupidly never made a trip out to see him. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  18. Apparently it would be on Monday. That made my night. I work a whopping 28 hours in the 3 days of the weekend (Fri-Sun) and would have missed any game 7 on Saturday or Sunday. Ridiculous scheduling move, but it should benefit me so I don't care.
  19. It worked fine for the Tigers in 2000, but I doubt Fontenot will be hitting 3rd. This is a good day for us LSU fans! Yeah, if only Manieri can return them to their past glory. <-- misses Mainieri at ND
  20. Wolf's looking pretty good at the moment with the Brewers' hot start.
  21. I started having Those Thoughts about 3/4 of the way through Game 4. "If they let us steal Game 5, this thing's going seven." Well, it's going seven. I don't know if we're gonna win, but this thing's ending in Detroit one way or the other.
  22. How about that, we scored some runs and even got a hit with the bases loaded for the 1st time all year! How's about we keep that going for a while, eh? It'll be Cy Rich Hill trying to rebound from his worst outing of the year http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_448179.jpg (4-2, 2.51 ERA) Against Jorge Sosa, who for some reason has become a starting pitcher http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_407901.jpg (2-0, 2.77 ERA) Let's do this, one-pitch Rich!
