I have heard the same thing. From what I hear, Calvin and Russel both wanted 15% more than Williams got last year, and Quinn would take a lot less, close to what was paid last year for Williams. From what I've been hearing, the Raiders gave Quinn an offer that would be considered a low-ball offer for a 1st overall pick but would be better than what he'd get in the 7-9 range. If true, it is a smart move on the Raiders part. except for the part about DRAFTING BRADY QUINN =D> Post of the freakin' day. Quinn is a late first rounder. Way to screw the pooch AGAIN, Oakland. Is it a bannable offense to make fun of all the Quinn-bashers when he inevitably plays well in the NFL? (Except of course he goes to Oakland, then all bets are off)
