WOW.... Marquis's going Sunday, you think that'll turn out well? i definitely dont think the season is over Well, if we lose the series, we're 8 1/2 out. If we get swept, that's 10 1/2. I don't see us making up that kind of deficit, unless we catch the spirit of the 2004-05 Astros.

I hated the Noah pick at first (like Stephen A. said, we have a billion high-energy, rebound-first guys on this team, we didn't need another one), but I guess it was inevitable. Aaron Gray is an absolute stiff to end all stiffs. He's terrible. I'm a die hard ND/Big East basketball fan and he's just terrible. My best friend and I made a game of counting how many times Aaron Gray got the ball in the Big East title game against G'town last year and screwed up in some way with it. I can't emphasize how much he sucks. I liked the Curry pick, though - seems to fit a good 'instant offense' mold off the bench, which is a dimension we haven't had recently.

4.20 ERA. That's why he shouldn't be an All-Star. Sorry Lou, I appreciate your campaigning for the Cubbies, but Zambrano doesn't deserve this at all. He's had one great month and two ridiculously bad months. -

Does Penn St play Wisconsin? If so where? I like Penn St this year. I see the Big Ten coming down to Michigan, PSU and Wisconsin. I think Wisconsin will win in the end. they play Wisconsin October 13th at home I like Penn State a lot this year. I think they could be one of, if not the, big national sleeper. They won't beat Notre Dame In Happy Valley? I bet they do. Yeah, second game of the year, with all the youth at key positions and in Happy Valley? I could easily see Notre Dame start the year 0-3 before the inevitable comeback against Michigan State. I hold no grudge against the Irish, but I just think they have too much youth to win early in the year. They won't start 0-3 (I think they'll beat Ga Tech in the opener at home), but 1-2 is not just possible but probable. I'll be extremely impressed with both Weis and Starting Quarterback A if they can pull off a win at State College or Ann Arbor.

Ball State should go to a bowl game - the West Division will likely come down to us and Central Michigan, both teams with ridiculously good sophomore QBs (Davis for us and LeFevour for them). The game (which is in Muncie) should decide the division. We should've beaten them the last two years but lost in OT in 2005 and played way too conservatively last year and lost 18-7 (closer than it looked). A tough nonconference (IU, Illinois, W. Kentucky, Nebraska and Navy with all but one on the road), but if we can steal one of the IU/Illinois games (and I think we can), then we should win 7 and go to a bowl. Personally I'm hoping for a MAC title. No one in the league has as much talent as we do, so this is as good a year as any.
