I don't ever recall getting the sense that people here believed Jones was 'done'. They just thought he wasn't worth the money. One major difference between the two is that our GM didn't trade one of our best hitters for a below-average leadoff hitter and trumpet it as a smart move.

<3 The Riot. I finally understand the Cards' fans fascination with Eckstein. It's impossible to dislike Theriot, especially after that SI blurb about him and Fontenot. If you missed it, Fontenot is basically crashing with Theriot and his family in between residences, and Mike said that Riot sometimes takes off for a night with his wife and tells him he needs to watch the kids. :D

My guess is that Ryan Braun and Corey Hart and whoever plays instead of Fielder all hit homers in all of their ABs during the suspension.

I'm convinced the hand of God pulled back Murton and Fontenot's hits. Especially with Fontenot, there is no way in hell he didn't hit a home run there. He freaking crushed that ball.
