  1. And after failing to hit he immediately concedes 2 extra bases, wonderful
  2. Seiya has just been a tremendous disappointment.
  3. Granted I know very very little about prospects but that seems like a great move. Candelario has been very good and on days Mancini doesn't play, third base was our only clear offensive weakness. I like it a lot.
  4. I only got 6, screwed up multiple times on the MVP column. I hate when I mess up the potentially easier boards that have Cubs options.
  5. Speaking as someone who had never heard of Bednar until this thread was posted, it's not crazy to prefer paying less in prospect cost for Sewald than paying the likely much higher cost for Bednar.
  6. You can still leave the game before then if you end an inning. Great work by Palencia. Great win. Keep stacking them.
  7. Looks like the clear move. If he does his job he'll avoid the big bats in the lineup.
  8. That was pretty terrible stuff from Leiter, 2 pitches just not even in the same zip code as the zone.
  9. I had no idea Madrigal's numbers were so good. OPS over 700.
  10. I got 7 and would've had my best score ever if I could've figured out Orioles/Bosox and White Sox Cy Young. No correct answers above 14%
  11. Hot take - we should ground into fewer double plays
  12. Jesus that was the greatest back to back defensive sequence I've maybe ever seen in baseball.
  13. Baseball has a way of making you pay for repeatedly screwing up
  14. Bellinger getting thrown out sucked but it was a good decision and O'Neill just delivered a perfect strike. Those other 2 though, oof. Let's hope Adbert makes it irrelevant.
  15. Adbert escapes with his life on that foul ball laser and just delivers 97 on the edge in response. Dude is nails.
  16. A-Rod, highly paid baseball pundit, has a solution so obvious it's a wonder no one else in MLB has considered it.
  17. Len and JD were also great about this, explaining what was happening and why and giving their takes without being stupid about it. We're lucky to have a booth of adults. It's kind of funny how so many STL fans have been complaining about this because, paraphrasing, 'this is just the way it's done', meanwhile the only person in either booth who actually played in the 20th century - JD - was immediately calling Mikolas out as being bush league before the 2nd intentional pitch was even thrown.
  18. The Cubs seem to be avoiding starting Smyly as evidenced by Ross admitting they didn't know what was going to happen the next time his turn came up. So who knows.
  19. He replaced Dan Mclaughlin after the latter DWI'd himself for at least the second time because apparently 2 dumbass players killing themselves by driving drunk is still not enough for that organization. Remarkable that even when they're a complete disaster they remain so hateable.
  20. Just for pedantry's sake, it very likely does. Without a qualifying offer attached to him - which he won't have if the Cubs trade him - teams can offer Bellinger money without worrying about losing a draft pick this offseason. The offers are likely to change accordingly.
  21. I got 8 today, got stuck on the center square, wildly guessed Jesse Orosco and missed. A friend of mine is a freaking wizard on the game and beats me almost every day. Some of the names he comes up with are nuts.
