As usual, I have no idea whatsoever what will happen. Carolina is the enigma of the league and has been for four years. We could conceivably win or lose the game by up to 30 points either way. Should be a good game, though.

KU +19 as of now. i think it could get worse than that. We have no real pass rush, and our running game is mediocre at best. The O line has gotten better, at least. at least it's not 43 like the USC/WSU game. Panthers have as close to a must-win game this week as it ever gets in Week 7. Carolina is already at a disadvantage to Tampa Bay after getting crushed last week, falling behind them by a half-game in divisional record as well as losing the H2H tiebreaker for now. A loss to New Orleans would do the same thing with regard to the Saints and put Carolina at a 1-2 divisional record. A win probably gives the Panthers some semblance of control of their destiny, while a loss means they'll need help the rest of the way with tough games coming up. Huge game. Need to contain Bush and stop the pass, which they did a miserable job of last week.

Yeah, people say (correctly) that Hendry has been the beneficiary of dealing with small-market teams, but even then, the Cubs haven't gone on to watch anyone the caliber of, say, Jason Bay or Hanley Ramirez then tear it up for said small-market team, either.

it is impossible to screw the pooch against indiana. they got destroyed by iowa and ball state, they're extremely terrible. michigan state is pretty tough, but i just cannot see penn state losing their last game of the season at home with a national championship bid on the line. WVU/Pitt Early to say it perhaps, but I think 08 Penn State is substantially better than 07 West Virginia. The same is probably true for 08 MSU vs. 07 Pitt, but if Penn State is unbeaten and shows up for that game I really don't see MSU winning. Watching Michigan go 2-5 should be fun.

What an embarrassing performance by Carolina. Tampa's a great run defense, the Panthers are better at passing than running, so naturally we don't throw except for like 2 drives. Steve Smith having another 100-yard day after getting thrown to probably 7 times in the game is an upset. Probably the greatest wideout that's been inexplicably ignored by his coaching staff of all time. Tampa is really good. Atlanta pulled one out of their butts. With Washington's embarrassing home loss, the NFC South is right up there with the NFC East (minus about two-thirds the viewing audience).

I'm honestly really shocked Mizzou lost. I thought they'd steamroller everyone until Oklahoma in any case. Credit to OSU, I didn't realize how good they are.

it'd be a better time to be a student :) that's what holy cross did to me - lost 75% of their football games and 70% of their basketball games when i was there, then had a winning record in football and made the ncaa tourney in basketball the year after i graduated. I'm taking what I can get, but yeah, I'm a little envious, especially of the people in my freshman class that are still there. And the back to back worst basketball seasons in team history my last two years there weren't a picnic either. WKU scored a meaningless TD with under a minute to go to break up the shutout. 24-7 will be the final.

There is something really weird about listening to your friends broadcast Ball State games on a student radio station you used to work for, then listening to commercials voiced by others of your friends. BSU 14-0 after three quarters.

Ball State is playing awful, giving up a bunch of yards, and generally looks sloppy, but they are still winning 14-0. Thank goodness for Western Kentucky being really really freaking bad.

It didn't matter, the ball was moving as he was on top of the defender. Whether it was because he was trying to lateral or was fumbling, he still didn't have full possession. Game of inches for sure, if he waited til he was on the ground and threw it backwards, you have madness ensue, the play gets reviewed, ND sets up a play and maybe wins. I really don't like that play call though, you've gotta go end zone there. There was five seconds when Floyd would've been down. ND would've had plenty of time to get another play off. Had Floyd not fumbled, ND would've had a decent shot. As it is, this team is still going to have that 'no wins on the road' cloud over their heads going to Washington in two weeks, which sucks.

It doesn't matter if Floyd was trying to lateral, the point is, the ball was clearly coming loose before he ever hit the ground. And if he was trying to lateral, WOW is he dumb, we still had five seconds left. Should've had this one. That stupid throw by Jimmy to start the 2nd half killed the momentum.

Doesn't matter how much you outplay the other team if it's 0:5 turnover ratio. Damn it.
