  1. So much for Seattle helping us out. I guess I couldn't have expected them to.
  2. That Aybar homer was awesome. I love when I know it's gone.
  3. Haha, I had forgotten about that. I was at a friend's and saw it live...we laughed for minutes afterwards.
  4. That could've been a record breaker if attempted from 64.
  5. Ball State being ahead of BYU in the BCS is big. If we keep winning, BYU can beat Utah and not pass us, and Boise State finds a way to lose, the Cards could still find their way to the Orange Bowl. A lot of if's, but fewer than it would've been if BYU were ahead of us. Tulsa is ahead of us, but I think we could pass them by going 13-0.
  6. 14/37 for 136 yards for Derek Anderson. I recant my apology from last week. LOL at the Colts.
  7. I love our defense. Exactly what we needed after last week's fiasco. Home teams have won all the intradivisional NFC South games I believe, and most by large margins.
  8. Steve Smith dropped a 3rd-down pass inside the 15 that could've helped us jam our feet on the Saints' throat and make it 34-7
  9. Bob Davie will be the color man for the final (I assume) Weis vs Willingham matchup. ESPN does indeed have a sense of humor. Washington has five recruits signed for the class of '09, none above a 3-star rating, and ND is 4-2 with Grimes, Turkovich, Lambert, Bruton and Crum being basically the only seniors contributing. Bite me, Ty. And Ball State's going to destroy Eastern Michigan.
  10. I believe B is a Bucs fan. Carolina's next three games are ARZ, @OAK and @DET...finish this off and 8-2 suddenly becomes a very real possibility.
  11. This leaves me even more clueless as to what happened in Tampa last week, but I'm loving the showing our D is putting up.
  12. Reggie Bush left the game with a knee injury suffered on a punt return and he will not be back.
  13. Jake Delhomme. Steve Smith. 20-7. Carolina.
  14. No love for Ball State? Sagarin had us rated 5th last week...
  15. I found a great site via Google that lists basically any TV station anywhere that any game is on. If your game isn't listed above, it may be on a regional network. http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm

  17. Jonathan Stewart. :) 10-7!
  18. #20!!! :D
  19. That BS personal foul against Richard Marshall is going to lead to the Saints taking the lead.
  20. Wow, that could have been a great deal for the Browns.... And for me. But clearly the Cleveland QB drama is not quite over yet if they're passing up a deal like that.
  21. I feel sorry for the 10 of them who paid attention to the team all year long. The rest of them - and by that I mean everyone who started watching and pulling for the team in late September/early October - I don't feel the least bit bad for. One of my friends - who is a Cubs fan first - has been following the Rays for quite a few years now and is talking about quitting baseball if the Rays lose. I'm sure he's not serious, but man he's having a rough October in baseball.
  22. Oh, and (3 posts in a row) why's Mizzou gone? I'm not shocked that he is, just missed how it happened.
  23. they gained 800 yards!!! They must be angry that they were undefeated and still unranked. Looking very likely that a mid-major gets into the BCS this year. Utah has a tough road, but Boise St. could be double digit favorites in every game from here on out. Ball St. and Tulsa are also undefeated with weak schedules, and if TCU runs the table they'll be in good position too. It's also pretty likely that either the ACC or Big East champ won't be in the top 12, so the entry bar will be lowered. And the score at the end of the 1st quarter was 28-28, that's insane. I looked at Boise State's schedule last night, and I hate to say it, but that team's going unbeaten. There's no way they lose a game without a significant letdown. Ball State picked a really bad year to have their best season ever.
  24. This was a highly underwhelming Saturday...all the good matchups weren't good games, and none of the close games ended in a truly exciting manner. But next week ND gets to hand Ty Willingham one more ceremonial beating before he gets fired. So that should be fun.
  25. I doubt it. I can't see Michigan winning a rivalry game. This is like when the Bulls held their firesale and all the teams the Bulls had been whipping on for years licked their chops and beat the crap out of us. You outgained Notre Dame by over 100 yards offensively, Penn State sleepwalked through the first 27 minutes of today's game...if your rivals are licking their chops, they must not be very hungry. Well ND probably isn't as good as Michigan State (no offense), and Penn State has more aspirations that just finally beating Michigan (like their showdown vs. Ohio State next week). Michigan State-Michigan is the White Sox-Cubs of the Big Ten. They won't blow an opportunity to embarrass Michigan Haha, I can hardly take offense. MSU beat us and played pretty well in that game (though we've improved significantly since Charlie basically said, "screw this, we're passing the ball every play"). I'll take your word on MSU/UM for now, though.
