I have a feeling every college football thread from here on out, as long as Meph posts in it, will be much longer than the September ones. Next weekend Notre Dame and Ball State are both off. I am going to be so bored.

I'm honestly really shocked Mizzou lost. I thought they'd steamroller everyone until Oklahoma in any case. Credit to OSU, I didn't realize how good they are.

it'd be a better time to be a student :) that's what holy cross did to me - lost 75% of their football games and 70% of their basketball games when i was there, then had a winning record in football and made the ncaa tourney in basketball the year after i graduated. I'm taking what I can get, but yeah, I'm a little envious, especially of the people in my freshman class that are still there. And the back to back worst basketball seasons in team history my last two years there weren't a picnic either. WKU scored a meaningless TD with under a minute to go to break up the shutout. 24-7 will be the final.

There is something really weird about listening to your friends broadcast Ball State games on a student radio station you used to work for, then listening to commercials voiced by others of your friends. BSU 14-0 after three quarters.

So what happened to Daniel's #10 jersey? He's wearing a nameless 25 right now. And thanks Warp, Ball State will jump Auburn in the polls with a win.

Ball State is playing awful, giving up a bunch of yards, and generally looks sloppy, but they are still winning 14-0. Thank goodness for Western Kentucky being really really freaking bad.

It didn't matter, the ball was moving as he was on top of the defender. Whether it was because he was trying to lateral or was fumbling, he still didn't have full possession. Game of inches for sure, if he waited til he was on the ground and threw it backwards, you have madness ensue, the play gets reviewed, ND sets up a play and maybe wins. I really don't like that play call though, you've gotta go end zone there. There was five seconds when Floyd would've been down. ND would've had plenty of time to get another play off. Had Floyd not fumbled, ND would've had a decent shot. As it is, this team is still going to have that 'no wins on the road' cloud over their heads going to Washington in two weeks, which sucks.

It doesn't matter if Floyd was trying to lateral, the point is, the ball was clearly coming loose before he ever hit the ground. And if he was trying to lateral, WOW is he dumb, we still had five seconds left. Should've had this one. That stupid throw by Jimmy to start the 2nd half killed the momentum.

Doesn't matter how much you outplay the other team if it's 0:5 turnover ratio. Damn it.

Notre Dame's offense looks very very good today. If we can win this one, the schedule sets up pretty nicely for a possible 10-win season. And Golden Tate and Michael Floyd are really freaking good.

UM misses a 26-yard chip shot and Toledo will win. Michigan's 1st loss to a MAC team. I like this.

this game is almost always in Dallas, which is more or less geographically 1/2 way between Norman and Austin 197 miles from Austin, 190 from Norman according to the pregame.

I didn't say we need to give him franchise money. I'm just saying that of all the issues with Gordon it seems like those league rankings in free throws made - which, again, seems pretty good for a guard - are not among the highest ones. It's not that he doesn't drive, either, it's that when he does he tends to avoid contact via that teardrop shot or other means.

I'm pretty sure the other 29 teams in baseball know Theriot has next to no chance of repeating his 2008 numbers, so I don't get the whole 'sell high' thing. -
Why is being 47th, 55th and 27th in three years in a row in FTM/game so horrible for a 6'1" guard is what I want to know. I think that's pretty damn good in a league where most teams still have three-man frontcourts.
