  1. The winner of the MAC West will most likely be .500. In conference. Ball State can clinch the least impressive division title in history if they beat Western Michigan on Wednesday, despite a horrible out-of-bounds call costing the Cards the game at NIU yesterday. ETA: I didn't realize just how bad it was. Every team in the MAC West besides Ball State has an RPI of 293 or worse. That is unfathomably horrible.
  2. That rule must be changed. The opposing coach should be able to pick the FT shooter if the other guy gets 'hurt'. Of course, I don't buy for a second that he actually was. I hate that whole team...what a bunch of ninnies. Jeff Adrien is damn good, though.
  3. You Big Ten types can't have Cleveland for a rotating site. The mighty MAC tournament is played there... If the Big East wanted to rotate sites, Philly would be a decent site to throw in though it would help Villanova a lot. But I can't think of any others. Maybe DC, but that'd be insanely unfair to anyone who played Georgetown.
  4. Which is a joke. You should have the tourney in the marquee city of your area. Big East has it in NY, Pac 10 has it in LA, ACC in ATL, we have it in [expletive] Indianapolis because they named a street after each team. We're operating like we're the Missouri Valley. The ACC tournament isn't always in Atlanta. Last year it was in Charlotte. In 2007 it was in Tampa.
  5. ND barely escaped Rutgers 70-65 to stay on the bubble.
  6. Well, that Providence win over Pitt, it's safe to say, is extremely damaging to Notre Dame. Providence was a bubble team at best before, but now they're ahead of ND in the Big East pecking order. And lots of people think there's no way the tourney takes more than 8 Big East teams regardless if more are deserving, lest they screw up the pod system, so this could be bad.
  7. Pathetic defense this quarter.
  8. I'm sure Purdue fans as a whole aren't this bad but Purdue fans at Mackey are just complete morons.
  9. You're also playing Indiana. That helps.
  10. Good win for Notre Dame. Especially without Harangody's usual contribution.
  11. I want to make my annual three-day trip at some point. Would've liked the Cleveland series obviously, but a weekend interleague series isn't the cheapest option.
  12. they've won 7 of 10 and are 1/2 game out of the 8 spot. Plus, they have some easier games coming up And Miller and Salmons joining up soon, too. I'm getting moderately excited, if only because it'll be nice to see us play some games beyond February that matter this year.
  13. This team might just make the playoffs.
  14. The IU football one was funny. And true. Yeah, I thought that was the best part. The handshake one got a laugh out of me too. My dislike for Notre Dame can be directly traced to the pseudo-IU fans that also root for Notre Dame football. I despise those people. You and me both.
  15. Good lord, Bradley before Ramirez? Lee still third? Soto seventh? That's a horrible idea.
  16. This sounds like it could be good, maybe. Interesting idea at least.
  17. Getting a 1st rounder of any type for Thabo is a pretty good pickup. It's unlikely we'll get someone great, but there's always the chance of stumbling on a contributor in the late first round.
  18. Don't like the word they used but they won so I think they can chant what they want. I just found it rich considering they all probably went home with their sisters that night.
  19. Notre Dame headed to the NIT after losing to West Virginia. They probably needed to be 10-8 with their crappy RPI, so they'd now need to win out including a home game with Nova and a trip to UConn. Big props to West Virginia's student section which chanted "Luke's a (six-letter gay slur)" the entire game. Really original. Really classy. He's better than anyone on your whole damn team, you punks. 26/13 while our guards took turns turning the ball over the entire game and our other forwards decided to let WVU set world records for offensive rebounds.
  20. I'm a lot more excited about the contract implications than I am about Miller. Miller's an ok big guy, but we now have two sizable contracts that come off the books in 2010. Those will be nice trade chips next year.
  21. That's pretty fantastic. Basically we traded Nocioni for Miller, and Miller's contract is up in 2010.
  22. I think it's been discussed on here before that the committee won't put the two black colleges (SWAC and MEAC champions) against each other in the play-in game even though most years they're easily the two worst teams in the tournament.
  23. I have almost literally no money, so I'm going to be following SSR's lead and try secondary market later on.
