    I like Branyans bat a lot, but Mark Teahen or Felipe Lopez is more practical for us. I would've thought that it would be obvious by now, but DO NOT BRING IN ANYONE WHO JUST HAD A GREAT YEAR FOR THE CARDINALS (Lopez).

    The thing I remember most about the last three Bulls titles, since I don't remember the first three, was how inevitable they appeared to be. I don't think I worried even one time that the Bulls would lose one of those series and I remember thinking they'd thrown Games 4 and 5 in Seattle in 96 to win the title at home, completely ignoring that the Sonics were a pretty damn good team that year.

    It'd have been really nice if one of the other 28 teams had gotten their mitts on the greatest pure hitter of all time. I don't even care if it was us, it just would have been nice if one of the other 28 had. But, the Cubs look juggernaut-tastic right now. That's good.

    This has just been a really crazy week. It's like the 2008 Cubs are resurrected for a few days, and coincidentally Wood and DeRosa's return has been right in the center of it.

    I think we're gonna go ahead and keep going. But it was good to see his no-power bloop hit pay off for us there. Those three piss drunk white guys dancing to Go Cubs Go was absolutely hilarious.

    Derrek Lee walk-off single in the 12th. I got home from work, which was a day job at the time, thrilled that the game was still going. I saw I think only the top and bottom of the 12th.
