    Ah, c'mon man, I think he's referring more to the pixie dust of guys like Piniero or Ludwick. I'm referring to people hitting over .600 for over a week at a time. What about Aramis and Soriano being as torrid as they have been since the break? Not .600 each but combined they're kicking the crap out of the world. Aramis definitely is. It's just frustrating, with STL now having three times as many legitimate hitters as they did three weeks ago, it's going to be that much harder to beat them.

    Who cares? If we play like we're supposed to have been playing all year, we're golden. I'm so tired of everything they try ending up all golden for them. You know what?...touché. But in reality, it's just an excellent coaching staff down there. I would call our coaching staff (Trammell, Joshua) pretty good and I don't see any of our guys going ape [expletive].

    thats probably how other teams feel about Zambrano. Zambrano acts like a doofus in the (almost always big) moment. Jose Valverde and K-Rod and their ilk have predetermined stupid things that they do no matter what the game situation. I hate the comparison of those guys to Z because - and say what you want about it - Z is genuine.

    You can't make any of that stuff up. St. Louis Cardinals baseball: Anything can happen - and if it can help the Cards, it usually will.

    As long as we don't trade a productive starter away and give him a starting job based only on his super-sub performance a la Fontenot, I'm more than happy with him. He's been nails.
