  1. USF to the International Bowl. Also I neglected to mention UCF will be playing Rutgers in that St. Petersburg Bowl.
  2. Just curious, how many followers does that page have? 8,001.
  3. Oh good, the Cowboys are on national TV again. I guess this year they're actually good, but so are the Saints and I don't see all their games basically nationally broadcast.
  4. Some other bowl picks leaking out: Joe Schad reports Oklahoma/Stanford in Sun Bowl. Stewart Mandel says Pitt to the Meineke Car Care Bowl, Rutgers to the St. Petersburg Bowl and UConn to face South Carolina in the PapaJohns.com Bowl.
  5. Misidentification of the 66-yard bomb he just caught, no doubt. :) Up 16-6 now. Should have this one locked up. It's probably our last W of the year unless the Saints bench people in Week 17.
  6. Josh Freeman doesn't feel like letting that happen.
  7. PSU vs. LSU then? Yep. Penn State is lucky LSU is a bit lackluster this year, especially on their offense. PSU isn't exactly shiny this year either It's the "Top 15 Teams Without a Quality Win" Bowl!
  8. Here's the coaches' poll. Looks like few people even gave a thought to putting TCU #2. 1 Alabama (54) 13-0 1470 2 Texas (4) 13-0 1409 3 TCU 12-0 1336 4 Cincinnati (1) 12-0 1280 5 Florida 12-1 1240 6 Boise State 13-0 1216 7 Oregon 10-2 1096 8 Ohio State 10-2 1077 9 Penn State 10-2 950 10 Georgia Tech 11-2 921 11 Iowa 10-2 918 12 Virginia Tech 9-3 829 13 LSU 9-3 718 14 Brigham Young 10-2 702 15 Miami (FL) 9-3 611 16 Pittsburgh 9-3 506 17 West Virginia 9-3 429 18 Oklahoma State 9-3 404 19 Nebraska 9-4 391 20 Oregon State 8-4 368 21 Stanford 8-4 253 22 Wisconsin 9-3 247 23 Arizona 8-4 237 24 Utah 9-3 183 25 Houston 10-3 106 AP: 1 Alabama (58) 13-0 1498 2 Texas (2) 13-0 1425 3 TCU 12-0 1376 4 Cincinnati 12-0 1302 5 Florida 12-1 1253 6 Boise State 13-0 1237 7 Oregon 10-2 1128 8 Ohio State 10-2 1080 9 Georgia Tech 11-2 952 10 Iowa 10-2 925 11 Penn State 10-2 883 12 Virginia Tech 9-3 866 13 LSU 9-3 686 14 Miami (FL) 9-3 660 15 Brigham Young 10-2 658 16 Oregon State 8-4 524 17 Pittsburgh 9-3 514 18 West Virginia 9-3 447 19 Stanford 8-4 390 20 Nebraska 9-4 371 21 Oklahoma State 9-3 349 22 Arizona 8-4 323 23 Utah 9-3 151 24 Wisconsin 9-3 133 25 Central Michigan 11-2 64
  9. No reason to today. Tampa can't stop the run.
  10. Here's the schedule of games for next weekend. Dec. 11th, 2009 I-AA Semifinal: William & Mary at Villanova (8 pm, ESPN2) Dec. 12th, 2009 D-II Championship Game in Florence, AL: Grand Valley State vs NW Missouri State (2 pm, ESPN2) SWAC Championship Game in Birmingham: Prairie View A&M vs Alabama A&M (2 pm, ESPN Classic) Army vs Navy – in Philadelphia (2:30 pm, CBS) I-AA Semifinal: Appalachian State at Montana (4 pm, ESPN)
  11. It happened in the UM/ND game this year and they didn't bother reviewing it. It's probably a good thing for all involved that both teams ended up being horrible so that arguments about the officiating and replay calls in that game didn't persist. That game still bugs me.
  12. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=rivals-342192&prov=rivals&type=lgns&print=1 Moved this here from the college football thread to try and keep everything ND-related together. Well, that's weird. But I guess if you're not going back to college anyway there won't really be repercussions for saying stuff. No one would or will probably believe it, but it looks like failing at ND really humbled Charlie Weis. Not to say he's not still cocky in a way - I don't think that trait ever goes away in a person completely. But it's pretty obvious that he now sees that coaching isn't as easy as he thought it was going in. The stuff about how he's trying to keep the recruits committed, and not trashing ND, are just two of many reasons why Charlie will always be remembered more positively in South Bend than Willingham or Davie even if he was worse in winning percentage.
  13. If poll voters had any sense of justice they would vote TCU 2. Texas has no right to the title game. When all is said and done Texas has played one ranked team, and they played them without their best player.
  14. [expletive] Texas. Same thing happened at ND/USC.
  15. They're going to give them that second back, but that's the worst clock management I've seen in a long time. Maybe even worse than Chizik last week.
  16. Mack Brown with ATROCIOUS clock management. ATROCIOUS. And I'm not so sure there is a second left.
  17. And the horse-collar. Just like that the game's all but over.
  18. Good job idiot.
  19. C'mon Huskers!!!
  20. Spiller, Ingram, Gerhart and Suh should all be going, imo. Absolutely. McCoy can go with them, but those 4 are musts.
  21. CJ Spiller should be going to NYC. He is monstrous. Every bit the talent that Ingram and Gerhart are.
  22. texas, if Nebraska wins Hopefully. That would presumably edge out the Big Ten teams.
  23. So the four at-larges will be Florida, TCU, Boise and Iowa/PSU.
