  1. This team is so funny, they have comedic value even when I'm following on At Bat in night class.
  2. Walked the pitcher again! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  3. 2nd Cleveland tourism video has been made in response to Noah: (NSFW language) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM That was made a year ago, but it's still really funny.
  4. A couple of the team schedules have been leaked. I already know that Carolina is opening up the new Meadowlands against the Giants, and they're also at Pittsburgh on the NFL Network Thursday night game Week 16.
  5. Colvin is still projected to play in nearly every game and get 280+ plate appearances. He's got a line of .222/.333/.444. How much more do you want him to play, and why? 7th inning defensive replacement every game is not enough playing time, and he needs at least one start a series. Otherwise, we might as well stash him in Iowa and let him improve. At least one start per series is not a spot start. That's a regular platoon. Soriano has an OPS over 1000 the last 7 games. Byrd and Fukudome both deserve to start today. Tyler Colvin is still just Tyler Colvin. He doesn't need to be starting every third day. If Colvin doesn't deserve to start then send him to Iowa.

  7. As was predicted by...almost everyone, that "we're gonna play the kid" thing lasted about 2 weeks. Soto is benched for no reason. Theriot finally getting benched WOULD be good if we had any kind of capable backup.
  8. None of us are that lucky.
  9. Didn't lead on Saturday either.
  10. Textbook underdog move. Get the media and the fans concentrated on some inane, pointless story like "the city the Cavs play in sucks", take all the pressure off everyone else. Beautifully done. Noah's a badass.
  11. A point guard's job is to create offense. If that means doing it for yourself because you're also the best scorer on the team, then so be it. Rose dragged a team otherwise composed of one very good post player and a bunch of guys who have no [expletive] business starting in the NBA to the playoffs, and if the team hadn't been so ravaged by injuries he wouldn't have needed the last week to get that done. It's absolutely asinine to say he's not a top 5 PG because his assist numbers aren't high enough.
  12. The more I think about it, the more I think Cleveland is in fact the best team in the league. Orlando is not as good (in my opinion) as last year. LA is a year older. No one else in the East besides Orlando can really stay with Cleveland and I don't think anyone in the West has enough to go over the top against them unless Kobe has one more awesome Finals in him. At the same time, Cleveland doesn't strike me as invincible, like last year's team (mistakenly as it turned out) seemed to me. They're a very good team that's prepared to combat every situation, and they have the best player in the league. I don't think they're world-beaters, but I think they're the best in this year's NBA, and that's all you need to be. And after saying all that, they were still a fluke Jamario Moon performance away from possibly being 1-1 with the worst playoff team heading back to their place.
  13. Panthers will stick with Mardy Gilyard, though I'm growing more and more convinced the pick will be a defensive lineman.
  14. We can definitely win a game at the UC. I'm already looking forward to the "Cleveland sucks" chants The Cavs crowd would have to have significantly improved to be regarded as crappy tonight. It took until the 4th quarter to get "Noah sucks" chants going, or to really be loud at all.
  15. This is probably a minor quibble, but Cleveland can't just tread water for 40 minutes waiting for LeBron to explode against better teams. Screw you, Jamario Moon. You'll never play that well again in your life.
  16. The scrubs Moon and Parker 3'ing us to death. [expletive] that.
  17. Luol Deng is absolutely murdering us.
  18. Just the last of the 3. Russell got taken 400 feet deep by Angel freaking Pagan.
  19. The Bulls really aren't playing that great (apart from Flip, who had a great half), the Cavs are shooting the lights out from 3 and we're only down a pair. I like this.
  20. LOL another BS 92-hopper drives in a run. We "give up" 2 of those a series.
  21. Rose got crunched by Ilgauskas, no call. Rose in the same bubble as LeBron, foul. I'm wondering how many All-Star teams Rose will have to make before he gets some benefit of the doubt.
  22. How the [expletive] is that a strike, are you kidding me?
  23. Paxson traded Carney for Thabo Sefolosha on draft day, then eventually flipped him for what turned out to be Taj Gibson. I'm no Pax fan but I'd say that worked out about as well as it could have (unless he'd drafted Blair, but you could say that about every team).
  24. I was thinking about this over the week, would it be a terrible idea to have Soto lead off? He obviously isn't a "fast typical leadoff hitter" but he is probably out most patient hitter, outside of Lee, he has already taken 7 BB and isn't hitting for all that much power, yet. That's a very intriguing thought, which is why Lou hasn't even entertained it.
