    It wasn't, I only found out about it on the DirecTV website. I'm only really going to use it for Carolina games, so it's not that big a deal to me, but I will miss RedZone. Not worth an extra 100 bucks though.

    I spent way too much of last year being completely annoyed with his being on the roster because he was, as I think someone once referred to him, a "nonprospect". But as a cheap young option, he's turned out to be terrific. I apologize, Darwin Barney.

    i've watched more baseball in the past 3 days than i had all season due to this. Try having it all year. There are lots of days where I don't watch a single regular channel because of baseball games.

    McCarver just speculated that a 31-year-old recovering drug addict will get the biggest contract in baseball history. I'm all for the Hamilton story, but that is so clearly not going to happen.

    No matter how much I want the NL to win, I still prefer that every Cardinal perform terribly in this game. Preferably get the flu as well.

    I just enjoy that the new narrative is that the only way the Bulls could've beaten Miami was if LeBron had choked. Never mind that it took two superhuman efforts from LeBron back to back just to get by Boston. Reasonable minds can differ on whether the Bulls could've beaten Miami, but the facts of the case are that the Heat damn near lost to a team that got taken to 7 games by the damn 8 seed in the East. They were not invincible.

    Even though that was an out, Anthony Rizzo just took an 0-2 offspeed pitch on the outside corner and hit it about 350 feet. Incredible.

    I don't totally know the more advanced statistical metrics backward and forward but I'm pretty sure they would say that there's virtually no chance any one player would affect a team to that degree. This team is not good and Rizzo for the whole season wouldn't make it good. There's also the question - superfluous though it may be - of whether Rizzo would've been this good all year.

    To be fair, I don't think any of these video's have ever turned out well for any school. I just don't know why school's make video's like these. This stupid song still sometimes gets stuck in my head after two years.

    I'm forever going to remember him as Boyd because of that game. Someone misidentified him and we quickly decided he didn't deserve to be called by his real name because of how terrible a job he was doing.

    KC Johnson says that if the Bulls match, Boozer would be amnestied before the '14-'15 season because of the ridiculous $15M figure in year 3 of that deal.

    Indy will bid on - and almost certainly get, at some point - a national championship game, which would be just as egregious HFA for a B1G team as the Sugar or the Rose. Since no B1G team has finished in the top 4 of the final BCS standings since 2007, it doesn't seem like an immediate issue. But the committee isn't beholden to the BCS rankings. They're not, I was just using those as an example since they're better than the polls (not by much)
