  1. Good move to PH DeJesus here, hope it pays off.
  2. Brewers got done a favor by that pitch hitting Ian.
  3. Omer Asik shouldn't have even been on the court in a must-foul situation for the other team, let alone have gotten the ball. Mind-boggling.
  4. I understand not wanting him to play an important role, but why wouldn't one want to keep Omer Asik? If you don't want to pay him the type of money he'll command, that's one thing, but he's a nice piece in a defensive role.
  5. I feel like they're outperforming how good they should be, even as they aren't doing so, record-wise. It's crazy, and unfortunate, how close (basically just a few gigantic bullpen gags) this team is to being decent.
  6. Him being the Bulls' grand plan to get Rose some help was a stupid idea from the get go that has only gotten dumber as the year has progressed. To his credit, that big 3 in Game 3 ought to have been the dagger, but he hasn't done nearly enough to warrant the role he was given.
  7. I thought we got DeWitt in the Theriot deal for some reason.
  8. Indy fans blowing up my feed with posts yukking it up about the Bulls as if their team wouldn't be an Anthony Davis contender if Granger, Hibbert and Collison/George/whoever were in the same spots as Rose, Noah and Deng is making it very difficult for me to root for the Pacers to beat Miami.
  9. And Miami is going to cake walk to the Finals. I hate everything.
  10. That was the first injury, I think.
  11. He's out of options, which is really the only reason he 'won' the job over Travis Wood to begin with.
  12. Childhood ND fan and either a USC alum or just a convert by proximity. I forget which but he explained it at one point
  13. The only silver lining is that if this is the kind of team we were going to get outside of Rose, the Bulls were never going to win the title anyway. ETA: Gotta give Evan Turner credit. He walked the walk at the end and no one on the Bulls could stop him.
  14. Bench mob disappears again in the playoffs. Sigh. I knew the title was up in smoke without Rose, I didn't figure this series was.
  15. I wholeheartedly approve. That was brilliant.
  16. FWIW, Brian Hamilton of Chicago Trib tweeted this re: the now infamous party I really don't care about this whole issue at all and have little interest in discussing it further. Flame away
  17. South Bend police's gunning for ND players is a well-known habit locally. That's why Clausen got arrested early on for being in a car with a guy who went into a liquor store before Clausen was 21, something I didn't even know was illegal. hahahaha! Yes, they hate ND in South Bend. Even more, they hate ND football players worse than ND itself. hahahahaha! Poor golden domers, everybody is out to get them. I forgot I hadn't updated my foe list. Thanks.
  18. I had a feeling it wouldn't be a good idea to bring this up, how could I not have known that everyone would immediately and collectively decide that MR and I were blaming everything about ND football's lack of success recently on the local police department?

  20. Apparently flipped when cops were called to the house he was at, ran off and then hit the cop who caught him. Real genius work from him. I don't follow ND super close, but I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be the starter this year isn't he? It's a 3-way competition between him, Hendrix and Golson. Rees easily looked the worst of the 3 in the spring game, had 19 turnovers last year and can't run, but Kelly hasn't shown any inclination to get rid of him to this point despite all of that, so conventional wisdom in South Bend (at least according to the Irish Illustrated folks) was that he'd probably be starting regardless. Doubt that's the case now.

  22. This has my vote.
  23. Not that DeWitt is any better, but I'm glad Darwin Barney isn't just being given free rein to play 2B no matter how he performs.
