  1. Kelly returning to ND.
  2. I like the black jerseys every now and again, but I totally agree with this as well.
  3. Browns just hired Rob Chudzinski so there goes a suitor for Saban. And I really think Saban only leaves if he can be GM. He aint leaving for just a HC gig. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Saban isn't leaving Alabama. He's a god, right next to Bryant. The Bama' boosters pay the assistant coaches almost a million dollars a year, that's why they don't leave. In the postgame on ESPN after the national championship, Urban Meyer whined about how when he was winning NCs at Florida, his assistants were being raided but that never happens to Saban now. It was fantastic hearing him complain. LOL at Meyer complaining about being raided for anything.
  4. Crap. He was a pretty good OC. Will be tough to replace.
  5. He's the only source to claim that, so I'd like to see something to back that up besides timing.
  6. Alex Anzalone switches from ND to Florida.
  7. Well, UGA got blasted by S. Carolina, K-State got crushed by BAYLOR, Florida St lost to NC State, Clemson didn't beat anyone worth a crap in the regular season and Florida just got pantsed by Louisville. So you can start with them. Oh, and Oregon lost to the only team they played with a defense - a team ND beat.
  8. I'll believe he's leaving when it happens.
  9. Michigan OT Taylor Lewan coming back. Mild surprise as he was a projected top 10 pick.
  10. I'm not sure they will win 10 games again next year, but they do have a good recruiting class coming in (it helps when you have THIRTY-FIVE commitments, of course). If Sumlin is as good as he showed this year, there's no reason they can't settle in to a tier slightly below that of Bama, LSU and Florida with occasional years where they jump past them.
  11. So when Saban's team blasts Notre Dame, ND is exposed as a pretender. But when they blast an SEC team under the exact same circumstances, it's Saban. Got it. Yeah, the result was much more than "ND is overrated." Alabama is better physically than every team in the country, SEC or not. Give Saban more time to prepare and that advantage is only magnified. Alabama didn't go undefeated this year. And both Georgia & LSU played them down to the wire. This may come as new information to you, but sometimes the team in a one-game sample size that's better doesn't win. Crazy, I know. Also, you are completely ignoring the 'six weeks to prepare' part. Not that we will find out, but I'd guess Bama would handle LSU, Georgia and your boys pretty easily too if given a six-week layoff. Maybe not 42-14 easy, but easy.
  12. I can neither confirm nor deny rumors that Roger Goodell, as a Tagliabue underling, secretly paid Saban off to leave the Dolphins for Bama so he could destroy college football.

  14. On the real though, I'm surprised how quick people are to call this game an example of "SEC dominance" when Saban whipped the hell out of LSU of the mighty SEC last year in this same game (granted they didn't score as much). I'm pretty sure given 6 weeks to prepare, Bama would stomp anyone else in the country, SEC or not. The hard part for them is the regular season which doesn't offer such a long lead time.
  15. I'm surprised he's that kind.
  16. Not enough to drop him out of the top 10. He's still a fine prospect in a weak draft, no matter if he's overrated in the media. He plays a relatively worthless position in today's NFL though. There isn't a huge need for run stopping MLB with leadership skills. Of course you're right that team needs will play an immense role in where he's picked but I think he's as good a prospect as Luke Kuechly who went #9 in a stronger draft Yeah, Te'o is basically another Kuechly. I'm not sure he's quite as good (Kuechly did lead the league in tackles after all), but that's his style.
  17. That won't make the title game any more or less likely to be a good game (see the men's basketball tournament). Well not necessarily but it might lead to more interesting match ups on the way there I want my 16 team playoff, friends ND vs Nebraska, Alabama vs N. Illinois, Florida vs. Clemson, et al? I'm not really a fan of going past 4. 16 would be a waste of time.
  18. A 4-team playoff this year probably gives us Alabama vs Oregon or ND and likely yields a similar result. Playoffs don't stop one team and one coach from being superior.
  19. I understand lesser SEC teams' fans having wildly disproportionate conference pride, but I don't get it from Bama fans. One of the most storied programs in history shouldn't give a [expletive] what conference they play in.
  20. Well, the Independents are taking a hit. Army and Navy are going to have a hard time getting poll respect.
  21. Especially odd since half our fans are probably more excited that your hoops team beat Penn St than anything else that happened tonight. ETA: Haha, Smack beat me to the joke.
  22. If DaVaris Daniels develops further this offseason he is going to be an absolute monster. Played really well since October.
  23. Brent's drunk, guys. ESPN had to electroshock him to keep him from talking about Manziel's Dom Perignon binge.
  24. Cue the moral outrage about Saban calling a deep pass in the 4th quarter up 28
  25. Probably worth noting that a converted WR and a freshman converted RB are ND's starting corners. The defensive staff had managed to keep that from being a factor all year until now. Not sure how they did it in retrospect.
