I think Richardson is BPA and a huge need for them. I'm really intrigued by them going after Cordarelle Patterson or Tavon Austin though. Need some explosion at WR to go with Cam. I'm tempted by Patterson, but Carolina's never been a team to deviate from what they feel the right plan is. The only time I can remember where they definitely seemed like they went BPA rather than draft for need was Clausen (and look how that worked out).
I suspect that if the draft actually played out this way, Carolina would trade down because there's any number of ways they can go here. But as it is, I think they try to fill out the front four and take Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri.
If the Cubs were supposed to contend, it'd be really cool if they would ditch the 'closer' role entirely - but I'm sure Theo's hoping someone will overpay him for a closer at the deadline, so they probably won't ditch it.
Soriano did not stink last year, so if he stinks now, it's not "still." When you look at his contract he did. He's a tremendous bust. Soriano did force Hendry at gunpoint to sign him to the deal, so I guess you have a point.
Shark saw that 69 percent figure for Cubs' pitchers giving up runs in a 1st/2nd nobody out situation and said "[expletive] that, I'm Jeff Samardzija, damn it." Slick pitching.
I'm interested to check out the feature where you can overlay a radio broadcast over video. If there's a game where Len and JD aren't available, I'll definitely give that a look.
