  1. Pat: "bouncer up the middle" STL scoring runs on bouncers? YOU DON'T SAY
  2. That's kind of what I was thinking, too.
  3. Peralta isn't any good. what? Peralta is on his third team. He's making a crack at Hrabosky's expense.
  4. STL normally starts at 7:15 CT, I believe.
  5. it's gotta just be the whole minutes struggle thing and whatever hostility comes with that, right? I think it's almost entirely the minutes thing, which just baffles me considering there hasn't been an injury issue that wasn't explained at least as well and probably better by inept medical staffs (Deng), the fact that a player is tall and tall people have foot problems (Noah), or just plain weird [expletive] happening (Rose). And in the latter case, Rose was beat up all year that season and didn't play many minutes.
  6. Maddon isn't perfect, but damn I love his attitude. When your chief division rival is throwing an emergency starter, you have to win. Get it done, boys.
  7. who thinks they're massive dogs? plenty have even picked them to win. they're dogs, but i don't get the impression that they're viewed as massive ones Yeah, I think people are picking Cleveland because they have LeBron, but I don't think anyone is conceding the series. If the Bulls get Game 2, that's huge. They'd only need to win 2/3 at home then to win the series, a very manageable task.
  8. It's been beaten into the ground on this board, but seriously, this organization deserves what they get if they can Thibs. Players are tired of him and sooner than later they stop listening. You don't coach like that in today's NBA. There is enough talent on this team that there won't be a drop in wins next year. If there's not a drop in wins next year, it'll be because Rose's knee finally held up for a full season, not because of a coaching upgrade. Because unless the Bulls are getting Kerr or Popovich, there probably won't be a coaching upgrade.
  9. It's been beaten into the ground on this board, but seriously, this organization deserves what they get if they can Thibs.
  10. Burning my 2nd pre-ASB transaction because McCutchen is playing hurt and can't hit. Drop Cutch Add Miguel Cabrera
  11. it's may 5th please shut the [expletive] up with this [expletive] you [expletive] moron. Seriously. The entire reason people are getting worked up in the game threads is because the division isn't and shouldn't be a foregone conclusion. We need to get out of the coin flip game if there's any possible way to do it.
  12. This year is not a mulligan. We have a playoff team.
  13. 2nd best team in the league here we come.
  14. 3 straight games of this [expletive]. That was a hell of an impressive homer by Russell, pity it had to come in this [expletive] game
  15. No way Soler is available. If he is, then yeah, Maddon is dumb.
  16. Soler is available Not now that we double switched [expletive] Ross in
  17. So it'll come down to the bottom of the order in the 9th. Wonderful
  18. No, they don't. Not in a down 3-0 sort of way, but if these idiots get 10 games up or some [expletive] we're going to be playing to get into a coin flip game and frankly I'm not thrilled at the prospect.
  19. Lou called them Cubbie occurrences I always liked that term in a weird sort of way
  20. If this season is different, these guys will come back and win this game. That's small sample size nonsense but [expletive] it, we really need this one
  21. A split at the absolute least. The only way I'm going to be confident to any degree is if they win both, because you know Cleveland's going to get a game in Chicago.
  22. My sample size of games at other parks is 1, but I've never understood that one at all. Any Cubs game I've ever been to, and particularly when the team is contending, the fans are very engaged. And that 1 (2007 division clincher in Cincy), the Cubs fans there were certainly paying more attention than the handful of Reds fans.
  23. Wish Soler had gotten his needed day off before this series. I'd love for one of my teams to have a consistently losing rival so I could spend hours coming up with witticisms to make fun of them with in tweets. (And somehow rack up over 2,000 followers doing it)
