  1. Bonus if OMC has a naked hick in his bed who he is ignoring to post here That was a legendary series of posts.
  2. I didn't see it, but that part doesn't surprise me. For remarkably smart people, Jeopardy contestants tend to be incredibly stupid on sports questions.
  3. Based on the past few years, if LeBron feels like playing hard the Bulls will lose and if he doesn't the Bulls will win. That's simplifying things but it sure feels sometimes that we only win when he decides to half-ass a game.
  4. If anyone but STL were in front of us, you'd be wrong. I still am not giving up hope for some sort of karmic rejiggering, but after watching them get break after break for 4 straight days, it's pretty clear this is one of those years where everything will come up Satan...I mean St. Louis.
  5. John Lackey bringing in 2 more runs than he will give up is pretty much STL baseball in a nutshell. [expletive] this week.
  6. I don't know a lot about Shannon, but from what I do know he seems like an idiot. However, Brenneman is a belligerent d-bag who sired another one. Between stupidity or douchebaggery, my preference is clear.
  7. So, to recap, we're going to lose a game in which we led 5-0, a game in which STL threw an emergency call-up, and a game in which Arrieta started in this series. Good week.
  8. STL is due about 25 more of those.
  9. Come on Texas! Dear Lord, that would be awkward.
  10. Everett Golson transferring from ND for his last year of eligibility.
  11. The Dusty/Lou era seemed like it was full of ridiculous suspensions of Cubs players and managers, so it would follow that now that we're competitive they'd go back to it. I don't remember this being a thing at all. Did that happen? Probably more personal annoyance than anything, but it seemed like Dusty and Lou would always get popped for more games than you'd expect after getting into arguments with umps. Z and Wood got dumb suspensions too a couple of times I think. I'm mostly thinking of 2004 when we seemed to get into fights or ump arguments a lot (which is probably why those suspensions happened).

  13. I feel like I should eat Chinese food tomorrow in thanks for this win
  14. We need another run. Probably 2
  15. 2 innings and we'll have the bottom of the order in one of them. 1 more run and I'll feel ok. Not great but ok
  16. How on earth does Coghlan not get to that ball?
  17. They did only have 3 last week, that's probably low by their standards
  18. Word of warning: Tread carefully. The Cardinals fans who lasted here know to keep away from Game Threads. Whoa now. I am sympathizing. Kozma sucks. I'm not doubting your sincerity, but many of us, me included, are a bunch of a-holes in the game threads and we can and will pop off on anyone who looks at us wrong let alone roots for the wrong team
  19. Anyone who's watched baseball the last decade knew Kozma was getting a hit there, the real surprise is that it wasn't a homer
  20. Yep, and now they're going to win by 1. How can anyone take this team seriously when they get all their big hits this way
  21. No multi hit games, what a putz
  22. Good for Maddon, these umps need to know we're not going to take this fisting lying down
  23. So today is basically a freeroll for us, don't even need to beat the Cardinals. I know you're kidding about conceding the division but you should stop
