  1. I like the idea of Russell being the #9 hitter, but he's been playing too well for it lately.
  2. It'd be nice if Castro were ever rewarded for the handful of times he hits the ball hard the other way.
  3. It's ok, only 2 more innings until the people who actually have a chance of driving in runs bat again
  4. I seriously doubt Cubs fans are outnumbered in this game.
  5. Olives are good as a pizza/burger topping, but not so much by themselves.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet]Castro back at cleanup, no Coghlan.
  7. Could really use 2 of 3 in this set after the way the last week's gone.
  8. Swinging and missing on Tyrus over Aldridge is a fair criticism, but I don't know if you can say they didn't sell high. They did get a pretty decent first-round pick out of Thomas, although the jury is out if what they did with it (McDermott) was smart. That said, I frankly dislike the current FO. On the whole they still seem to operate on that Jerry Krause 'organizations win championships' garbage that is flat-out wrong.
  9. You'll definitely get a ticket unless you have a guest pass. There used to be permit-free parking near Barry and Racine but I don't know if that's still the case. Dang. Thanks. How far are you willing to walk? When I was younger and more broke I just parked sufficiently far from the park and walked. I know I had to go past Southport, but I can't recall how much further it was. Anywhere past the 7-Eleven store on that corner is free parking. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk from there.
  10. I was at Monday's game and am very impressed at the way the boards have been weaved into the game experience. They don't overpower it, they are a complement. That was my worry coming in, and the Cubs have surpassed my expectations in flying colors in that area.
  11. It doesn't.
  12. If they can magically stop tall people from having foot injuries, frenetic players from suffering fluke knee injuries, and manage to Jedi mind trick the best player of our generation into leaving the conference, that would be excellent as well. But that's all very reasonable.
  13. Meh. As long as we get continued improvement from the young guys, I think we'll be right there. jason heyward finally has the timbo fantasy stink off of him, we have no shot. My bad. :bye: My fantasy stink is still firmly planted on him
  14. Passing on the 9th tonight. Liked it better when we were winning 6 in a row
  15. We seem to be racking up the stupid losses of late
  16. Hunter Wendelstedt sucks tonight. Giving Lester a wide corner some times and not others with no rhyme or reason to it.
  17. This sucks, with our lineup today and Scherzer being Scherzer we can't afford to give away runs.
  18. If we can win a game against Max Scherzer with the current iteration of Castro, Lake, Ross and Lester taking up nearly half the lineup, we'll win the World Series.
  19. They likely would have just been annihilated by the Warriors, so all you would have gotten is an extra round of flagellating yourself for being a Bulls fan. As amusing as I'm sure that would've been for you, neither I nor anyone else had delusions of beating a healthy Warriors team as opposed to a ridiculously banged-up Cleveland team.
  20. The Bulls were a blown double digit lead from a 3-1 lead and what Cleveland just did to Atlanta is exactly why that series pissed me off so much.
  21. [expletive] awesome Addison Russell. God, that was a big win to get.
  22. I'm going against the guy who has Bryant. Doooooon't caaaaareeee
  23. On pace for 81 of those, which I'm assuming would be a record. It would also kill me.
  24. To be somewhat fair, he's having an awesome year.
