It's already too late. I guarantee they will change it to that stupid thing, just like they'll add that absurd runner-on-2nd rule. The runner on second better be temporary too. I know it is weird, but one of my absolute favorite things about baseball is that a game can theoretically last forever. I have loved long extra inning games ever since I was a kid, and whenever I go to a game I am usually quietly hoping for a 15 inning marathon. Not only that, but there is something about lying in bed at 2am with the Cubs still playing long after everyone else has finished. I know I'm rambling, but this is one rule change that I just can't accept.Of all my favorite nights I've ever spent at Wrigley, the Lester walk off bunt game and the Soriano walk off slam game, both 12+ inning games, are in the top 3 (and seeing Bote's ultimate slam is the only reason they're not top 2). The idea of losing that possibility (or having it bastardized by nonsense rule changes) is depressing as hell.
