Too bad, I think you could've taken them. I haven't been impressed. Somewhat on topic, my goodness has CBS been hosed this year. Feels like they're losing an SEC game every week and the ones they keep aren't any good. I'm sure many SEC fans view that as karma of sorts for refusing to pony up more cash after they expanded to 14 teams.

I thought it was pretty obvious to everyone that the DH was coming in the next CBA anyway, so it just seems stupid to me to go back to no DH for one more season, especially when it doesn't look like it will be a 'regular' season.

I find myself desperately hoping ND avoids Alabama in the semifinals (IF THEY MAKE IT caveat of course) just because I know everyone is going to do the whole "they were frauds" thing if they get blown out even though Alabama blew out #5 already and is probably gonna blow out #6 in 2 weeks

Alabama has activated death machine mode, so it's going to be very important to get in the 2/3 game.

The only person who I know definitely wouldn't be a big step down is Boog Sciambi. I'm sure there are folks I don't know who would be good, too, but Sciambi is the guy Marquee should be after here IMO.

I completely believe Len when he says the Cubs wanted him to stay and made that clear. The questions I have are what led him to the decision that he needed to leave to begin with. It can't all just be about loving radio. It just can't.

That would significantly soften the blow if they are legitimately going to search for and hire a worthy replacement. I'll believe it when I see it though. I know we should expect the worst when it comes to this offseason, but this pretty clearly means Myers isn't getting the job. He's currently already under contract, so if the network is saying they're looking for an outside hire he's not in the running. Myers is 61, so if they're looking for a potential long-term solution, he would make no sense at all.

I haven't listened to much Pat and Ron lately, although I might start this year. I get a kick out of them together. Pat's still very good and Ron is mostly unobjectionable now that he doesn't try to do play by play in the Pat piss break inning anymore. Really, my only major complaint with our radio broadcasts is the in-game ad reads are getting out of control.

I don't know why anyone 'likes' anything on Twitter. If I like something enough to signal I like it, I'll retweet it. If I don't like it enough to retweet it, or don't want people seeing that I like it, then I shouldn't be clicking the button anyway.

A lot of unknowns still, but I can guarantee Alabama is going to be in the playoff even if they lose to Florida. Rooting for the Tide is priority #1 for anyone on the bubble (which includes a potential one-loss ND as well).

ACC cancelling the ND/Wake Forest game scheduled for 12/12 and the Clemson/FSU game that could've been played 12/12, dropping ND, Clemson and Miami to 9 conference games. ND is in the ACC title game 12/19 and Clemson will clinch its spot by beating Va Tech on Saturday. Miami gets in if the Hokies somehow pull the upset and they beat Duke Saturday and then North Carolina next week.

This horsefeathering sucks. IU has maybe its best team of my lifetime and this happens. Feel bad for them and for Penix.

In B1G East news, Michigan apparently has 'presumptive positives' that they're getting confirmed and Ohio State's outbreak from last week could wipe out the MSU game, removing them from B1G title game consideration - which could result in them playing Iowa or Wisconsin in the 'Champions Week' game instead of Northwestern.

Not surprising here since Minnesota's team has been getting ravaged by COVID This also essentially clinches the B1G West title for Northwestern.
