  1. This is the most pathetic [expletive] thing I've ever witnessed.
  2. You know, when the names included Campusano and Cronenworth, I still horsefeathering hated this but I could at least squint and see something resembling rationale. This horsefeathering mess, however, is an absolute disaster. What a hideous, disgusting horsefeathers sandwich of a move. I never want to hear from Tom Ricketts about consistent contention again.
  3. I couldn't give the slightest crap if Caratini is traded, so at least that part isn't making this absurdity any worse.
  4. Don't tell us you're trying to make the playoffs and then trade away the only good starting pitcher on the team

    Bulls '20-'21

Man the schedule gets ridiculously rough from here for awhile. 9 of next 10 on the road, 7 of the 10 against 2020 playoff teams 9 of 10 on the road? How did the Bulls get the old Circus trip in the year of Covid? I'm assuming most teams have one of those, it makes sense to have long stretches of home and road games this year.
  6. On to the Week 17 championship in no small part due to Deshaun Watson. Even though there is nothing for the Texans to play for next week, hopefully Watson plays the full game.
  7. Washington also really horsefeathering sucks which is part of Carolina's success today. I'm somewhat ambivalent about winning the game, I don't love any of the QBs except Lawrence, who they were never getting.
  8. Don't worry about how dumb it is that a 2-8 team got a bowl bid, because they're not playing anyway. A South Carolina reporter added that apparently some players didn't want to play for their interim HC, as well.
  9. I had a Draftkings lineup for the Monday night game only. You get to pick a player to be worth 1.5X more than normal. I picked Ebron, and as the game was such a horsefeathers show, I still wound up cashing somehow. In other news, my brother had a 1.6 point lead in his semifinals match up, with his opponent out of players and my brother only had JuJu left. He decided to brave a stat correction loss and benched JuJu, who went on to score negative 2.6 points... Field Yates posted on Twitter that some guy had both JuJu AND Ebron, but was only up a half-point I think and ran them out there to avoid the stat correction loss. Absolutely brutal morning for whoever that was.
  10. I got piss lucky in one of my two money leagues last night. I was up 4.5 points and my opponent had Eric Ebron, who was projected for 10+ (I'm not sure exactly how the scoring works in this league but it produces higher point totals than standard scoring). Of course he ended up with no catches and left the game injured. Unfortunately it was only a quarterfinal as this league goes all the way to week 17, but at least I'm still kicking.
  11. Got it, thought there were 1-2, 3 win teams out there They can feel free to keep winning though, because Carolina is sitting at #4 right now and I wouldn't mind moving higher.
  12. I was waiting for Mustache Man, damn you
  13. Might not matter but way to give your opponent some added motivation Seriously. Even if he thinks Ohio State playing 6 games is a joke, and he's said so repeatedly, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know after Saturday that you're likely to play them, so just move them up your rankings anyway.
  14. And if they beat Ole Miss they still wouldn’t. I know opt-outs are obviously part of this but it's such a bummer that IU is having its best season in so long end this way. It would've at least been fun to see them play Coastal Carolina or something.
  15. I could see several teams willing to trade up for Fields. If they don't, and the Jets do take Sewell (him and Becton would be sick) then everyone will contact the Bengals to move up because it sounds like Carolina could go QB and they're at 4 right now. If there's a good QB sitting at 4 Carolina has to take him. Teddy B has produced points on 0 of 8 final drive clutch situations, and only once did he even come close (Slye missed a field goal in Minnesota - he also missed 2 65-yard FGs but I don't count those). Not gonna cut it.
  16. Unless my memory is failing me this marks my 2nd straight playoff trip in which zero of my non QB players have scored touchdowns. Although 2 of their backups did, so that's cool.
  17. Carolina is in one because the ACC has a contract with the Orange Bowl for its best non playoff team. That's also why Virginia was in the game last year over a whole bunch of more deserving teams. Iowa State is still in there because the committee ranked them higher. Couldn't tell you why.

  19. I've long since accepted the playoff is getting bigger, but if people think that after that happens, the best CFB recruits are going to start spreading to all the different schools, in defiance of every single scintilla of evidence in the history of the sport, they'll be disappointed.
  20. I'm not sure why the thought didn't occur to me before but it's increasingly obvious that the reason they didn't just go BCS x2 was that that might result in a non power team sneaking in and they couldn't have that.
  21. The only reason I even want to be in the game is that everyone in America shares this attitude, so almost any competitiveness at all will be something of a perception win. But who am I kidding, it's Brian Kelly away from home against a really good team, we know how this will end
