I'd agree as a MAC fan. Obviously this isn't the first time they've hired a Buffalo guy, but Turner Gill wasn't really even very good at Buffalo except for getting piss lucky in one MAC title game at 7-5 (speaking as an alum of the team he got piss lucky against); Leipold turned Buffalo into a consistent MAC threat for 3 years running, a pretty remarkable feat, and has a strong resume at UW-Whitewater in D-III to back him up. He may or may not end up working out, but it was the right decision.
