  1. The refs are the key factor. The Bulls have 19 fouls to the Warriors' 12, which means they're basically blowing the whistle every time the Bulls are on defense.
  2. Mitre and Wellemeyer I want gone anyway but I think Rich Hill deserves another look before we ship him off somewhere, especially for a one year rental of a usually unremarkable player.
  3. Jenks is around 4 years younger and has much better stuff. Working in MacDougal's favor is the fact that he hasn't lit his arm on fire. I laughed at that. Can't go wrong by playing the "Jenks lights his arm on fire" laughs.
  4. No, not really Not a very good memory eh? He didn't appear in the one series vs. the white sox when they played in Chicago. Claimed his foot hurt and asked to be put on the DL. And was so dedicated to the charade that he stayed on the DL for a full month after the White Sox series. you just have a bad memory when it comes to things that never happened. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Sammy diagnosed with a Staff Infection on his foot? I'm pretty sure he was. I know Sox fans like to think they're so tough that Sammy was scared of their booing, but it was a serious injury. Sammy's feet are terrible...
  5. Ouch. What happened to Mr. Quin? :P
  6. I think one or both of the last two answers are EY. I'm not even close to sure though. Yes on #2, no on #3. EY stole 54 bases in 2000. Ironically, I remember being very disappointed in EY's "lack" of speed in 2000. I didn't give him enough credit.

  8. I don't like players with two 1st names as their 1st and last name. :) Jason Michaels is pretty darn close. Bingo... You were able to find the irony. My name is the same as well. My name is just like Jason Michaels, one extra letter away from being two first names. Kid in my class named Mike Ryan. Discuss. My ex-roommate's name is Eric Ryan. They should both change their last names.

  10. He also wears his hat sideways and likes to rap. Once he gets here, if he says the words "wiggly feel" I hope he gets benched.   Here's hoping Pierre can speak the language :P
  11. It's very possible. Right now the Bulls are in last place in the division and are in the 7th spot in the East.
  12. Huh? Wasn't this just a rumor or supposition? That is unless you and Todd are close... Well, Todd definitely asked not to be traded without consent (read it in a cubs.com interview earlier this year), and usually Hendry tries to maintain good working relationships with his players.
  13. He made 3.7M last season. I thought I heard someone on this board toss around a 6M figure for his 06 salary but I can't confirm that.
  14. You really don't respect Jim Bowden's intelligence if you think we're getting Wilkerson for Corey. Not that I'd complain! :P
  15. Pierre isn't very good. I could easily see him having a .350 OBP year. As long as the Cubs don't give up too much I could see him being a nice stop gap. Not everyone on your team can be a superstar. That's a good point. I'm not a huge Pierre fan but if we don't give up too much for him, he'd still be a huge improvement over our CF production last year.
  16. I've said about a hundred times that ND's schedule has been disappointing, but it isn't a joke, any more than most other teams' schedules. I've already posted this in another thread, but for every just plain bad team that ND has beaten, there's at least one that every other top team in the country has beaten. It's just that it's fashionable to trash ND no matter what so people gloss over the UL Monroes and the San Diego States on other teams' schedules and choose to trash ND for scheduling Washington and Pittsburgh.
  17. i didn't find it difficult to comprehend Good for you and thanks for making another post about nothing. You get one gold star. :D PMSing? That was original. Seriously, why do you keep wasting posts with nothing to say? then end it by not responding, please. If you want to talk about Pierre talk about Pierre otherwise, please refrain from wasting space with these posts. It adds nothing to the discussion. Oh shut up. You're the one who started the mess by belittling a poster. Sorry my posts aren't of that type of quality. Jackass. Nice, very mature. Cubz, thanks for wasting yet another post about nothing. You get two gold stars.
  18. If Hendry wouldn't trade Hill for Dunn, why would he trade him and another player for Pierre? And knowing Hendry's history of trades, doesn't it seem highly unlikely he would trade 2 of his top LH pitching prospects? Hah, didn't he trade D-Train to the Marlins? At the time, that deal looked great. Clement and Alfonseca for hardly anyone. Willis was an unfortunate coincidence. I don't think anyone thought that one year after that trade that Willis would even be in the majors let alone tearing up the league like he did his first few months.
  19. Duke's up 40-26 with 32.8 seconds left in the 1st half. So much for that upset possibility. And CPatt, I would assume that you dislike McRoberts because of that stupid "it counts" move he did after he scored that 2 and the foul to make it 16-14 BU? I hated that too. You don't pull that crap when you're losing to a vastly inferior team at home.
  20. And ND very well could lose. I think ND would have a very legit chance of losing to any team they play in a BCS game. I would be OK if they lost also. I never thought they would be in a situation where I could be talking about a BCS game this season. It would suck if they lost, but they have already exceeded my expectations for the year. Adam, you and I finally disagree on something! I predicted ND to have 8 wins this year...while nine would exceed my expectations, once we get to a bowl I want to win it. I am so sick and tired of hearing about "we haven't won a bowl since 1994". I want to get a bowl win so that's not hanging over our heads anymore. I'd be upset if we lost a hypothetical BCS game - not incensed, but still unhappy.
  21. Anything .500 or better is a success. I don't want to make predictions for the roadtrip (lot harder to do NBA picks because of the game to game fluctuations), but I did pick a Bulls win tonight. Remember we didn't have Du when we beat GS in Chicago.
  22. Tennessee, BYU, or Pitt would be ND's second best win. You could debate on which one is exactly second, but they're similar. How are Pitt and Tennesse similiar? Every game Tennessee lost was to a top 25 team. A few of those games could have gone either way. Pitt is just bad. If Tennessee doesn't fumble the ball against Bama, they're 6-4 with a win over a very good team. And they should have beaten Florida and South Carolina too. That team is an 8-2 team that ran into a bunch of bad breaks, like Charlie Weis said in the presser the week before the game.
  23. I'd do backflips. I don't much like Mitre and I haven't heard a lot of great stuff about Nolasco.
  24. If we can get Pierre for two mid-level prospects then that's a good thing, I guess.
