In my biased opinion, the Michigan State team that beat ND was much much MUCH better than the team that lost 6 of their last 7. The problem with us scheduling MSU in September is they are always much better in that month than any other. I also find it hard to fault ND for its weak schedule when they have absolutely blown out the opponent in every one of its wins except for Michigan at the Big House, where it's pretty much impossible to dominate the Wolverines. Yes, Va Tech, Oregon and UCLA are very good teams, but Oregon lost their QB (I know it's not their fault, but they're just not as good a team without Clemens), UCLA has hit the crapper in the last month even though they have only one loss to show for it, and Va Tech had their chance to prove themselves, and got crushed by Miami at home. ND has improved throughout the season whereas these three teams have regressed. On another note, Miami has busted out those awful orange one-sleeve jerseys. When will someone tell these teams that those jerseys are AWFUL?
